    Thanks for the pic.
From the current photos, the new car looks good. One down. If the interior materials are better, and if it is a little more polished in other areas, I would want one, no doubt.

Nice interior shot here... looks like they really did fix it up a bit. I don't like the steering wheel one bit, but I guess that could be changed. BTW, the commercial with the red vette chasing down the transporter is on tv now. Sounds really good.. much more of a high pitched wail rather than a low grumble.

thats the clearest shot Ive seen of the interior. Cant wait to go see 1 in the showroom. Looks like I may have to get a new Z06 :)

    Vettes have become my 2nd fave sportscar, I have a 68 & a 93, just waiting for an excuse to get a 67 & a C6 Z06 :)

I may have already found an excuse to get a 2001 Z06, might get 1 to send down to Buenos Aires

  5. Hmmm the corvette does look pretty good and the performance and price factor isnt to bad. I wouldent get it over a Ferrari but it looks like they improved and the styling reminds me of the 575M. I didnt like the past 99-03 models cause of the cheap interiors but this one looks pretty good the new, Has anyone seen the new commercial when the corvette and all those other chevys drive up on that truck. ?

You may be in for a wait. the coupe and convertible are 1st year C6's, the Z06 version is 18 months down the road from there.

The Car looks good. I really like the wheels, and the interior looks good, minus (like Robin said) the ugly steering wheel.

Don't expect it to sound like it does in the commercial. They must have added different sounds to that thing because on the other vids of seen the car testing it sounds nothing like say a ferrari more like the traditional corvette rumble. Here's a link to all the newest pics. And here one of my favorites.

Looks a little large in the rear in the photo, but could be the angle. Steering wheel looks a bit busy. Other than that, looks like the best "vette yet.

5" shorter and 1" MORE narrow than the c5.

the z51 c6's are about comparable to the zo6 performance wise.

i just saw a chevy commercial on tv (pretty amusing - chevy cars getting onto a moving car transporter) and the first car featured is the C6.

my wife, who is NOT a car geek, said "is that a Maranello"?

i concurred that it sure didn't look too terribly different at the back end and in the hood/front.

Notice the car is decelerating at the point this picture is taken (e.g. nose low, rear high) when one might think it should be accelerating as it leaves the corner.

Token Z06 guy checking in here...

The base C6 will have a 6.0l 400 hp LS2 motor. Additionally it will have a considerably better interior and upgraded goodies (BlueTooth, Xenons, etc). It weighs less then the current Z06 and is shorter then the C5. Expect the C6 Z06 to bee 500hp and have a larger motor then the current 5.7l LS6.

Again, very few current Z06 owners are considering buying the first year (05) after what GM did with the 01 Z06.

Lot's of info on the various Vette boards.

FYI -- the 04 Z06 ran a sub-8 minute lap at the Ring :) It's one of the few production cars to ever do such a thing (beating out the Porsche GT3).

It looks like they got the corvette more right than the C5, which many people loved. This new one doesnt have the roundness of the old one, but it still looks good. Isnt 400hp a bit much though? It may be too much for some peolpe.

you must not drive on public roads very often. In 30 minutes of driving on the road, you will probably encounter 30 idiots, if you are lucky. If you're not, you may see 2x that number.

    LOL

I drive mine as often as I can (405hp Z06, dynoed at 360rwhp SAE with 700 miles on it). Hell I just got caught in the snow and rain in mine today.

The thing about Corvettes is that they are the most livable and practical supercar out there, barnone.

I kind of like it - I want to see one in black or dark titanium color. My wife also noted the 550-ish flares on the side and the fenders/headlights.

If you onle see 30 idiots in driving 30 minutes, you are on rural roads. On average, at least 10% of the cars on the roads are being driven by idiots just waiting to make some fateful decision that causes multiple people to have a bad day.

    I've always loved the Corvettes. I've had 3: 1971, 1985 and 1987.
I drove the c5 vette and liked it MUCH better than the c4, it just seemed "big". I am SO glad to hear they've scaled back some on the size. I love the big HP numbers coming out on the car too! I'll have to go drive one, when they arrive!
