Hey there, I just traded in my California 30 for a California T on January 30th. Yay!
When I got home, to my surprise, there was no owner's manual in the glove box. So I contacted the dealer and he said he didn't have it. But he would try to get in touch with the previous owner. I don't think that's going to pan out...
So I went online to see if I could download an owner's manual and I couldn't find one for the California T. But I did find several options available for the California. And I already have the California 30 owners manual downloaded.
So until I can order up a replacement manual or get the original from the dealer, I need some help from fellow California turbo owners with regards to controls and buttons. There are some things that are the same as the California 30 but things like the turn signal stock and the windshield wiper stock have disappeared. So can someone tell me how to operate the wipers? I did figure out the turn signals. I have no idea what the pit lane speed control is all about. And I've seen some photos online where the display is showing up some vehicle dynamics. How do I view that?
I also found a YouTube video that showed me how to operate that funky new center display. Just keep on touching the dial and the display changes from clock to temperature to turbo Dynamics. Very cool.
I managed to figure out how to use the performance start mode on YouTube. And I was surprised to find there is a front mounted camera, and not just a rear camera when I drove into my garage. I was trying to figure out a way to turn off the camera once I got into my garage and get back to the infotainment screen. I did find one button near to the ignition that change the camera modes and viewing angles.
My California 30 had a built-in hard drive and CD player. It would appear the California T does not. I couldn't figure out where to put a CD so it looks like it doesn't have one.
I did manage to connect my phone via Bluetooth, and figure out most of the infotainment settings. I got to say the sound system is much better than the old California. So that was nice.I found all of my phone contacts have already been imported, and when my wife texted me while I was driving around, it popped up on screen. I had the option to have a robot voice read it out to me or view her message on screen. Also very cool stuff. So I think I've got most of that sorted out with regards to the infotainment unit. At least enough to get by for now. But if there's anything funky and cool I need to know about it please let me know.
Sadly, day after I picked it up, snow is in the forecast for the first time this winter. So I only got to zip around briefly and feel the power. And I got to say it's pretty damn good. Now we're heading into a bit of a cold spell in Vancouver and I probably got to wait a little while before I can really take it out for a good rip.
    Cheers

Re wipers- it's the switch on the right side of the steering wheel just above and to the right of the manettino. For a quick squirt and spritz reach behind and give it a click, for steady wipers give it a click or two forward. Beautiful car, love it in blue/cuoio!

Okay I got it regarding the wipers. I feel the switch behind and got a squirt of wiper fluid. Thanks. I see I got another reply regarding a PDF owner's manual. So I'll have to check that one out as well. So weird to drive without stalks...

My Cali 30 was TDF blue with the cream leather and diamond stitching. I love this combination of blue with cream or tan colored leather. Had to stick with it :)

Thanks for the link! I was able to view it. Now I see this is something called the workshop manual. And it seems to be well over a thousand pages long. I quickly flipped through some of the pages and I can see instructions for oil change. Yeah this is really helpful. Thanks

This could be a dumb comment but in my car I had the holder for the owners manual in the trunk. Have you checked there? If I remember correctly there a spot with velcro on the side of the trunk for it.

The "pit speed" is the cruise control. Just turn the knob and it'll hold the speed. Twist the knob right and it increases the speed, and left and it slows down. I don't remember if it shows the selected speed anywhere. It sucks and doesn't even do a great job at it.

First thing you must do is buy the factory HS sports exhaust for it (unless yours is a HS). They can be had at eBay for like $800 for the full kit. It is a must upgrade on a Cali T.

Thanks for the tip re HS exhaust. How does it differ from original?
The HS refers to handling special, is that correct?

Ya my California 30 had the suede pouch with books snapped into the left side of the trunk. My Cali T has nothing. Just the snaps. I guess the original California did not even have Cruise control? I can't recall ever looking for it or using it.
But good to know there is some kind of cruise control option on the T

It replaces the rear mufflers (and if you want to use them, comes with the matte finish tailpipes). It is close to identical when the valves are closed, but just that little bit throatier and louder when valves are open. Also gives nice subtle pops and "rifle snaps" on gear changes.
I'd call it essential. And its dirt cheap. It costs something stupid like $7k new, you can find OEM new-in-box from eBay for like $800. 4-5hr install if they remove the rear bumper cover. I thought the exhaust was one of the weakest part of the Cali T, the HS exhaust fixes that, unless you want your car to be a flame-spitting monster.

And yes, HS = Handling Special.

It's been a while since I had my Cali T, but the way the cruise works is I think you had to push or pull the knob to set it at current speed, and twist right to increase speed, twist left to decrease speed.

Hey, I like the sound of that HS exhaust kit. I'm going to start checking out eBay for sure. For under $1k? Sweet.
I got to say, I really did enjoy the California 30 exhaust note. I loved the snap, crackle and pop on aggressive up shifts and downshifts. And hitting the red line as I whizzed through tunnels to get an earful of that V8 screaming.. Gonna miss that...
But the big up tick in power and torque is pretty damn sweet. And so is the overall interior fit and finish of the car. Thanks again for the tip on the HS exhaust upgrade.

Absolutely love that color combo! When I was looking for mine, my top 2 choices were your color combo and rosso corsa with beige and I ended up choosing the latter. Did you check the glove box for the cd player? Enjoy it.
