    I've been thinking about getting a "point and shot" camera to supplement the D7000 when I'm traveling and don't feel like lugging a lot of gear. Nikon recently dropped the price on the P7100 by a hundred bucks in anticipation of the upcoming P7700, so I pulled the trigger. I just got it yesterday.

    10.2 MP, 28-200 mm. equivalent zoom that's f/2.8 at the wide end, available full manual exposure mode, and 720p HD video. I can't wait to try it out and will post some sample photos in the next day or two.
