Here Here! I "Third" That! Is that car streetable? Reason that I ask is that I once saw a Red 348 Challenge Car,with all sorts of Decals and a Number on it,driving on Butterfield Rd. and Naperville Rd. a few years ago. As it was driving in the opposite direction, and quite fast,I didn't notice if it had a plate on it or not...

Are you keeping the 308? That is a really nice car.

    Thanks for the congrats.

Yes its a streetable factory produced challenge. They were all sold with street titles in '94. This one was never converted to race.

It's black (of course) with no stickers or decals.

Frank, I don't know about the 308. The wife ( wonderful woman ) thinks I should keep it. Storage is the problem. For now though its a 2 Ferrari garage.

Hopefully the new one will be here Mon. Oct 3rd. If so I will bring it to the Oct 9 show in Schaumgurg.

Ahhh Yes! VERY Cool!!! Yes,you certainly do have the right Lady! Especially if she wants you to keep Both Ferrari's. Some guys just get extra lucky,I guess!...:)

Well, I certainly hope that you can find somewhere to store it. I know that Dave has a lift in his 1 car garage that can park 2 cars in one spot. And,Bill just may have a warehouse that can store cars.

I had spoken to Rich the other day and we were planning on hooking up on Thursday night for a beer. I wanted to check out his 348 that just came in.
If anyone wants to tag along they are more then welcome. We will probably end up on the NW side somewhere. We may even do Oliveti's again..

    Thanks!

    Vince.

Any chance Rich will bring the 348 to the Sunday Hooters show?

If you can handle such an eye sore and if I am free from house obligations, I can show up in the H2. Olivetis is a nice place and I am looking for a good reason to do a sneak attack on Darolls and get him out and about and given his usual respect. I'll invite the wife so he doesn't have to look at my ugly mug.

Not sure if Rich is going to the Hooters thing but I will ask him on Thursday.

Rocketboy.....575 or H2 it does not matter. Feel free to bring what you want.
Let me know if you talk to Skip. I would imagine he would be up for meeting up with us.

    Are there any other takers?

    Thanks!

Yes I was thinking about that.

Realistically the 308 will probably have to go. More from a maintenance cost than wanting to get rid of it.

Your link for the lift would not open.

Since your 348 is street legal I don't see the point of keeping the 308. They are so close. If your 2nd Ferrari would be a 12 cylinder or a 4 seater or something else radically different, then yes.

I agree. I was going to say once you have driven the 348 there is little reason to go back to the 308. As a long time 308 owner, I did not want to offend any 308 owners.

However, I think the wife thinks she is going to drive the 308. In that case I may have to keep both.

No offense taken. It is what it is.

You can say a similar thing about 348 vs 355 and 355 vs 360. Each is a step up. However from my own experience the difference 328 to 348 is the biggest step.
