    hi all!

i m looking into buying a new daily driver. i ve been checking the current market for the past few months and i ve shortlisted the following:

    VW Golf GTI
    VW Golf R32
BMW 3 series sedan with the M kit
    BMW X3
    AUDI A3 sportback
    Alpha Romeo GT

also, despite not being a good option for a daily, but still is one of my favourites so i can t resist:

    mitsubishi EVO lancer IX

i did test drive the new focus ST which i didn t like. too "average" and the extra spoilers, trying to make it look lower instead of actualy lowering it, look dreadful.

i also did test drive a 320i which i liked (although it lacked severely any sporty look), and a z4 which seemed more like a toy car. even the wheel seemed tiny so i was forced to leave behind... for now ;)

anyway, what s your opinion? any other suggestions that might be worth considering?

    thanks :)

For a daily driver I'd go with the 3-series

Thinking of buying a GTI myself-right now is the time to buy because they're cutting prices on them to make way for the rabbit. I'm seriously interested in a red one myself..

BMW would be great also. AUDi if you want awd

I'd buy Japanese. American cars are junk. German cars maintenance cost are a total rip off.

He's in Greece, and I believe maintenance for a Euro car is much cheaper over there than here...

true that, but not as cheap as a jap/korean car :D

regarding some of the cars mentioned above:

530 is a bit more than i would like to spent for my daily :/ and i don t like the design all that much. i think the 3 series looks way better

330 is a great car however

    Volvo XC90 v8 or V70R/S60R is worth considering :)

for those that suggested the GTI, is there a reason why suggest the GTI over the R32?

thanks for all the replies guys :)

The are two negative things about volvo R cars... For the first they drop mutch and fast in price, and for the second they were build in gent and that's mean a little bit less quality compare to and ordinari V70/S60.
