Was looking for a Grigio Silverstone 458 a few months ago. Found one in Chicago at Continental Motorsports (they were great to work with by the way) that had everything I wanted except the carbon wheel and console. I ordered the wheel and console from Denis at myricambi, he was extremely helpful even when I had multiple stupid questions about taking the center console off. He even had me send the old console in and switched out the buttons for me! Everything turned out great and it was a fairly straight forward DIY job with a little guidance. And yes the LEDS on the steering wheel are plug and play. Very happy with the end result. Thanks myricambi!

Looks fantastic, congrats! Definitely looks great to have the wheel and console in CF with the CF racing seats. Just swapped my rosso corsa 458 for one in grigio silverstone, amazing color.

Steering wheel was around $7k I think, comes from Ferrari, takes 6-8 weeks. Install is very easy. Remove airbag by undoing the two torx screws in the steering column. Unplug it and take the wheel off and replace.

Very nice. Many people want LED wheels in 458's and shy away from the ones that don't have them. Good to know that this is just a plug and play install. Any programming involved for the LEDs? Are you thinking about getting the CF inserts for dash too? I'd like to know what's involved installing those.

Nice write-up, thanx ! Perfect info for us readers here imo!

We had a thread here not very long ago and found 2 or 3 CF + led steeringwheels on Ebay for half that price ....

Did you not see that :) ?

I had to do the same for my car. No programming involved, they work automatically. The only issue is that the car technically doesn’t know the wheel is there, so there’s no menu option to turn off the leds like there is with a car that comes with the wheel. Should someone want that functionality, they can buy the program from Ferrari for about 2k.

I did see a couple wheels on Ebay but they were either used, sketchy or didn't have the right stitching. Felt better just to get exactly what I wanted directly from Ferrari.

Honestly I'd be surprised if Ferrari had two different softwares, one for cars with the LEDs and one for cars without. I suspect it's there on all cars but disabled on the cars without LEDs, and that a good hacker could enable it without paying Ferrari :)

When I had my control board in my steering wheel replaced (my turn signals went out), the board needed to be programed for the LED's to turn on (Proxy file). Keep in mind this was a board replacement and not a steering wheel replacement. So if you purchase a steering wheel that already has LED's , then it should already to programmed. More than likely it is the same for the functionality on the screens menu's. This is just speculation on my part.

Well done, in my opinion you have taken a great car and made it even better, I agree that the carbon interior packages are a must have, it makes the car look so much better and gives it a more aggressive and 'racey' feel and makes the car look more sleek. Great choice for a great car!

    Impressive upgrade.

Opening up the pool of cars that meet one's specs is significant. I wanted race seats and carbon race package, and the number of cars that were disqualified for missing one or two pieces made my search much more difficult.
