I read about stellantis tanking, mercdes new cars falling off cliff and the list goes on. Its not hard to see why.
Most new cars have a carbuncle on the dash called a screen, not sure who thought this was a great idea, or whom wants screens to dominate. I guess the reason is the rest fo the car is crap, so theyre trying to fool consumers with a screen.

now im not talkign upscale cars, but the oens regular peopel gotta buy. Can you think of one you'd realy like to own. Anodyne mtors, crap and I mrean truly crap steering, includign rpetty much every modern bmw, Thena plehtora of systems that essentialy inetrefere with your driving, at elast on some brads you can configure to eprmenatly turn these off.

Were so far from a 1964 mnustang a car that sold on style. Now it seems manufactures can wheeze out a refrigerator that sorta steers poorly, sounds like a fart and is joyless, then they add a large screen to entertain. call about phoning it in. That's before we get to what can only be described a fuggly exteriors.

One company stands out as offering something remotely appealing, mazda,

the small and midsize suvs from toyota gm ford, screen city crap motors, crap transmission and crap interior, I wouldnt even attempt to test drive.

So manufactures are wondering why people are holding on to their older cars, its not just cost of new or olde cars still working. You'd only really buy new because you had to and had run out of options, even then the new car is likely to be worse than the one it replaces in every way, except i gues it has tik tock. Lets not even get into datta mining and selling your info to everyone including insurance companies. thge digital model in lieu of prduct didnt work for Nike and it sure aint working here.

more than a few people i know who bought new recently hate their cars, they just didnt realize how complex the ac system is, or intrusive the car is while driving. BTW driver assist systems have a higher accident rate and imo make the car dangerous to drive for anyone who actually drives, which apparently is more than 50% of us.

how auto manufactures en mass can get it so wrong, when this is their business is mazing. is this the attack of the MBA's once again.

I bought my daily driver new in 2018 and am doing everything I can to keep it going for as long as I can. I don’t want all the nannie’s that the new cars have and I definitely don’t want a huge screen because guess what while I’m driving I look out the windshield and pay attention to where I am going. If I’m going to a location I haven’t been before I map it out on my phone ahead of time while in my house sitting on the couch not driving.

I still think my Alfa Giulia is brilliant. The engine, the transmission, the steering, and especially the chassis. And it's not even the Quad.

My wife just bought a brand new MB GLE 450. It has big screens but still has buttons for the important stuff (climate, stereo volume, etc.). Actually works pretty well; the software is fast, responsive, and intuitively laid out. The car itself is pretty boring to drive but for her it's perfect, exactly what she wants. And I have to admit it's pretty comfortable on Houston streets.

New cars have the lowest quality in several decades.

The manufacturers dropped qc and standards during COVID to get cars out the doors and now they are just dog ****.

The amount of cars with blown engines from a huge spread of manufacturers is incredible
