    Gang,

Finally weather and my schedule cooperated and I was able to install the new EvoFlow cats onto the 355 Spider. Took about 3 hours all in. There was some fiddling involved getting the clamps and hardware to mate properly to the new cats. Were I to do it again I would probably have invested in new hardware all around because the cat mounting hardware is likely 18 years old now and fairly rusted out.

The cats appear to fit well and look great but the 355 is not ready to be fired up yet so I can't report on what they sound like with the X-OST exhaust set-up.

Next steps are installing new Kingsbourne spark plug wires. I bought a loom of wire (no boots) from Kingbourne and thought I'd save some semolians by cutting the wire to size and using the old, still good, boots and connectors from the old plugs but I'm running into connectivity issues. They are not mating well and I'm not getting even, steady readings on the multimeter. I posted earlier asking if there was a specific technique for cutting spark plug wire and mating with older boots/connectors but didn't get a response.

So, I'm going to just drop the cash on a new set of spark plug wires all around. Seems like reasonable insurance because getting even, consistent spark is critical here and likely caused my overheated cat condition which sparked (ok, bad choice of words) this entire episode.

So, over the next couple weeks I'll install the new Kingsbourne spark plug wires, installing new plugs, change engine oil and filter, and then she should be ready to power up. Fingers crossed.

I put them on my 348 and am very happy . I hated the smell from running with no cats and liked the sound wit no cats but wanted to tame the sound just a little . These cats did both , no more smell and made my nouvalari sound just perfect

Use new connectors with the old boots and they should work well, I don't think the connectors are special...

The owner of the company is or was a sponsor on here. The company used to be called prospeed prestige then changed to Evoflow. I believe there is a set on Ebay. Reasonably priced. Tell him you are a member of Fchat.

let us know how it sounds. i changed to hyper flow cats with a tubi muffler. Compared with the stock cats, there's a lot more noise at idle and also when accelerating.

I agree. Took my Hyperflows off and installed stock cats with my Low decibel 355 Challenge exhaust. A bit too loud for my taste at idle and when off the bypass.
    That said, excellent quality product.
Will list soon in the classifieds when time allows.
