my wife is actually giving the nod to going with the carbon fiber package instead of the wood. Crazy or genius? My build will be a sporty set up with the 21 in turbo wheels and PCCB's, inside will be the sport wheel with paddles ... I'm not crazy about the aluminum but will CF be a disaster in there with that 2 tone?? It looks good IMO in the attached gallery web shots but that 2 tone interior has different shades ... what about monotone espresso with the CF?? impossible to see these in person beforehand

I love my 430. Mine is a six speed manual and thats how I want it, last of a dying breed

I got it July 09 with 2K miles and just turned 7K now, not bad for weekends in the northeast (april to nov)

My indecisiveness on the interior scheme is what's delaying pulling the trigger. The options I'm considering are:
    1) all espresso with aluminum
    2) espresso with CF
    3) Espresso/Cognac with aluminum
    4) E/C with CF
    5) E/C with olive wood
    6) espresso or E/C with extended leather option (espresso leather where brushed aluminum is)

With those leather colors... the wood would go much better. CF would clash. CF is for black leather interior.

    E/C w/ wood - best match IMO

Yes. That's meteor. And that interior is killer!

    Love the two tone!

I'm unsure how CF will play with that combo. The right wood would be great, but I personally loathe wood in cars.

I'm a novice when it comes to this so bear with me. Can the '11 Turbo be tuned for enhanced performance or is factory as good as it can get?

I agree. I don't like wood, but for some reason that looks good to me. I think CF would be perfect too. I just sat in a turbo with the CF- it was pretty hot. I just ordered an S. Typical Porsche- they charge for every little option. That two tone interior leather is not cheap and of course the wood is extra. I stuck with the black leather and piano black trim.

Of course it can be enhanced... It's a Porsche with a turbo engine... They are made for this sort of stuff ;) There are "hundreds" of Porsche tuners out there. Over time many packages will definitely be available. Some modest and some extreme. Bet our German tuner friends are playing with those engines as we speak. But if you feel the need to go even faster in a SUV than a stock Cayenne Turbo I would suggest you to call your doctor first.

Congrats! It will be killer. Way to go on springing for the PCCB! The pano roof is a no brainer.

The PCCB's a tough call because of what they instantly do to the bottom line when you add them. I had them on a meteor gray 997TT and they were awesome but that wound up going on my quest for a 430.

You can't add them on the consumer build website but the dealer can. Are they overkill? Are they necessary? No more or less than an extra 4K for the the Burmester stereo when I'm sure I won't appreciate the difference. For me, those big carbon rotors and yellow calipers will look fantastic through those wheels with meteor gray. The lack of brake dust is arguably worth it right there (jk). I don't plan on beating it up on the track but I will probably get it out at Lime Rock on occasion.

Agreed. And you won't have that frequent of pad changes since it's not a track car. When I was figuring out what to order, one of the sales guys told me he thought the Burmeister was not worth it and that some function that you get with the Bose on the Nav touch screen is gone when you get it. My ears aren't good enough for it anyway. I'm usually listening to kids fighting in the backseat.
