It'll be a big engine in a chassis that can handle corners with no manual transmission and will be computer driven. Just like every Mercedes. And just like every Mercedes, no matter how good it looks, I wouldn't even consider it.

Well, I was only joking - but it really does look like an updated Acura CL, instead of a Mercedes CL. Hopefully, there are curves hiding underneath that cladding.

Looks more like the current CLK than the old CL, which was one of the most beautiful cars MB ever made.

It looks like the current car with the CLS treatment. If you like those cars you will like this one. I personally don't, but this is not to be confused with the typical knee-jerk "it's ugly" new car reaction.

Damn that's ugly. Different lines but looks like it wants to be a Quattroporte.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was "Honda Accord coupe". But I'm sure in reality it's much more like the Acura.

The current CL is one of the most beautiful cars out there. This one is definitely not in that caliber, but I seriously doubt they've "ruined" it. I want to see it without cladding to make my decision. As is typical with new cars and F-Chat, I can see it's already been compared to 3-4 current production cars...

Has anyone seen the new CLK? Its bland, I never have been much of a fan of the CL, becuase I figured i would rather spend my money on a much prettier car the SL and have the option of having the roof down. As far as I am concerned the only checks I would write to MB would be a fore a CLS (love it) and a SL ( but wait until next year for the 6.3 engine) and G500 (European eqivilent to Hummer)
