Well, I just picked my car up from Premier Protective Films after having a Venture Shield clear bra applied to the front bumper, full hood, full front wheel arches and fenders and headlights. I am impressed with the result as one cannot tell that there is any sort of film on the car with all seams hidden. Just gives me some peace of mind knowing that I won't need to worry (as much) about rock chips marring the front of the car. Probably the only downside is cost. I took some quick photos in my driveway with the new clear bra to share with you all.

Nice job. I was considering the clear bra but decided to go with Speed Lingerie for road trips and take my chances around town.

I consider a clear bra a must for exotics. Repainting isn't really a good option.

Preventable stone chipping is dependant on your driving skills to a large extent.
If you tail gate, run close in behind any vehicle, then you can expect chips.

My front is near enough to how it was driven out of the showroom yet has travelled 5,800 kms so far.

I personally don't like the line you see across the bonnet when this film is applied but there is nothing you can do about it.

For me clear protection is a must, I did not have it on my 360 and it just got peppered with stone chips in front and this was with careful driving. On my 430 I have had it since day one with no stone chips at all. If done correctly the clear armor is really worth it!

    Premier is the best!

True. Keep a clear lane ahead and you can keep your nose pretty clean.

    That looks really good.

As many of you know, I could not stand the clearbra on my 360 cuz the parts it covered looked plastic and you could see the line on the hood so I came up with the bright idea of peeling it off and succeeded without damage on everything but the front bumper, where I peeled off the clearcoat.

I do like it better with it off though (well once they repaint the front bumper). The clear bra did have chips on it and only in one case did it go through to the paint. But when it has so many chips on it, you have the same problem, take it off or repaint.

I will soon find out what it is to have a 360 without a clearbra.

My understanding is that a clear bra should be professionally removed in order to prevent any peeling of paint upon removal. In addition, if there has been any respraying (such as a bumper) which was not of the highest quality or if the clear bra was applied less than 4 weeks after painting, then peeling is a definite possibility. I believe that it might also depend on which type / brand of film was used. I believe that the film quality (and lack of orange peel texture and appearance) is significantly better than that of a few years ago.

As far as the line across the hood, just get the full hood, full bumper, full fenders done (custom, not a kit) and there will be no "line across the hood" as there are no visible seams. Certainly everyone has a different eye for detail, but I cannot tell which areas are covered and which areas are not...and I would like to think that I have a fairly good eye for texture, shade, and detail being a dentist. Anyway, to each his own. Some people swear by clear bras and some people hate them. My opinion is that poor quality materials and less than expert application are certainly to be disliked but if the right materials are used by experienced expert hands and if full coverage is done so that there are no seams or lines, then great protection can be had and one can maintain that pristine look free of rock chips.

great investment, love mine and glad i had it done. Just be careful not to get too close to the parking lot things that usually hit the tires--they hit the fender first the the shield is easilet ripped. I speak from exerience...

Premier is the best around. They did the clear-bra on my black Lamborghini Gallardo and you can not see any evidence it's wrapped.

This is in stark contrast to the clear-bra I had FoSV put on my F430 before it left the dealership when I bought the car new. They had their installer do the work and he used a pre-cut kit.

There's no comparison in the work... gaps, spaces and seams. Ugh.

    You live, you learn.
