A close associate of mine is assembling everything he needs to close on and start a new, members only club track, in central New England. They are basically waiting to break ground at this time. He is trying to gather info on what people would be looking for in such an establishment. If you are from the New England area and are interested in something like this, please give your comments. They are looking to make it accommodating and convenient so your input will be appreciated.

Scott, I would be interested, but.............. There are many hoops for a developer to jump through, big bucks, and all of the "non-car" people obstacles i.e. conservation, neighbors, etc. If he can pull it off, I am sure people will come. The prices Lime Rock, etc are charging now it is becoming prohibitive. I guess we can all thank insurance companies and litigation for that. Keep us posted or let us know if he has a website that one could check on progress.

For an idea of how difficult it is and how long it can take, check out the Club Motorsports track in Tamworth NH. It has been trying to get all of the approvals to start construction for the past 4 years and I'm not sure that they have started yet.

Kind of tough for those who joined early and have been sitting and waiting for something to happen, if it ever does.

The biggest problem is all these clubs are at one track, and going to the same track 5, 10, 15+ times a year is super boring!

Someone needs to create a business that partners with all these clubs to offer a membership so you can attend any of the tracks.

SCCA has been looking for a new track for several years.
Very recently has broken ground somewhere between
Springfield, Ma and Boston. Palmer Motorsports Park, I think.
