Hey guys, I was trying to search the archives with no luck. I have a 1983 308QV. What si the best clutch you've found out there? Cheapest? Best kit value? Best brands? I am not looking for anything for the track, just simply around town driving. Thanks guys.

There is little choice for clutches out there. Your car is not a Ford Mustang or Honda CRX. Manufacturers are not tripping over each other offer aftermarket clutches for this tiny market and suppliers and not fighting too much with each other to see who can give you the lowest price.

Best kit value? What does that mean? Define kit......

Best brands?? See my first sentence above.

Have you looked at the websites of site sponsors to see the prices? Have you used Yahoo! Search to find the various other places that sell Ferrari parts? Have you written/called to any suppliers to ask their price if it's not listed?

Not everyone here would want to tell you to buy from supplier "X" anyway. Telling you to buy from supplier "X" is almost the same as telling you NOT to buy from "Y" and "Z" and people might not want to offend them. There are places that sometimes sell parts at a lower cost than others, there are places that are not so cheap but offer outstanding customer service, there are places that have decent shipping and handling charges and probably some that don't.

The archive is only one tool at your disposal and almost certainly not the best one for this particular case.

Buy the heavy duty one from T Rutlands or other Ferrari supplier. I bought a supposed OEM one from Ebay & the pedal is way too light above 7k on shifts. (it almost stays depressed by itself at 8k)

I didn't know T Rutlands offered a heavy duty clutch...... or did you mean it's a normal OEM clutch?

What are you doing at 8000 rpm? Is your engine modified? Do you race the car?
