More information on the Maserati Coupe and Spyder replacement. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/04/17/maserati-working-on-new-gt-coupe-for-2007/
The pic is a computer simulated "something" of QV, Aston Martin etc.! Forget it. In a dealer meeting here in Germany, Maserati officials unveiled a picture of the new car. Looks very much different than this ...ehhh... computer-"bastardo"! Everybody who was there was VERY enthusiastic about the new design. So, wait n`see! Ciao! Walter
Here's an image of it out testing, it's impossible to make anything out though.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's very encouraging that everyone at the dealer meeting liked the car. Also if it did look like an A6GCS then that would be exciting. The Qporte looks a bit like one of pininfarinas old A6s in some respect so that would be fitting if the coupe had a similar style. Can't Wait!
The new car refers to the beautiful A6GCS Pininfarina Coupe (not the A6GCS-barchetta!) from the 50ies. In particular the nose section around the grill will be an element of that car. Ciao! Walter
Are you sure that this shows the new Maser? Interesting is the the dealer-registration in "S" for Stuttgart/Germany. Ciao! Walter
I believe this is a pic of a 1954 Maserati A6GCS. Walter are you saying the front styling should be similar to this car? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought the spyder would come out before the coupe, It was almost ready when Maserati split from Ferrari. Italiaspeed says that the spyder with the folding hard-top will be shown at the Paris auto show in the fall. I hope this is true because I am tired of waiting. I have an Aston AMV8 on order for summer 2007 and I was hoping to see the spyder replacement before giving the final spec. If it looks like the old A6GS it would be wonderful and tempt me away from the Aston. Image Unavailable, Please Login
does anybody else see a Rinspeed Porsche in the spy photo? (of course its not... but just kinda funny to me)
not so sure about the article: "clutchless gearbox" and 5L ? anyways, if it is styled with the A6GCS in mind, it would be very interesting. the recent Zagato 575 GTZ also has a retro look that i think worked very well.
According to The Car Connection, it is.. http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiasts/Spy_Shots/Spy_Shots_2007_Maserati_GT_Coupe.S178.A10299.html But who knows the truth. I did come across this as well.. (Note: this is just a slightly better picture of the rendition from the original article) Image Unavailable, Please Login
This also is a computer simulated picture of "a" car! Front comes from the Q, rear is a bit of the Aston DB7 and the front screen comes from somewhere else. Ciao! Walter
Yep, correct! And they made only 4 cars with the PF-body. From this only 1example is existing in complete original condition. But be sure that the new car will get a modern design and only details are refering to the old car. Everything else would be nonsens! Propably the negative welding of the front-grille will be one of that features the new car gets. Ciao! Walter
This is #2089. The car originally was a standart barchetta. The body we see here came from #2060 and was fitted to the chassis in later years.#2060 got later a replicar-body of the wonderfull 2-tone blue "low-drag" body that was exhibited in Turin in 1955. Ciao! Walter
Again... The unbelievable source of infos!! Thanks again Walter, like i said in another post, you're better than Marcel Massini!!!
No! Marcel Massini is doin`Ferrari-suff only. But it might be true that I know more about Ferrari than he knows about Maserati. But -nevertheless - I don`t know very much about Ferrari. Ciao! Walter
