Does anyone know if Recaro Pole Position racing seats can be easily re-covered? Could I change, say, colors, or go from velour to leather? Or do I need to replace the entire seat?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

I believe the cover can be replaced, you may want to track down a RECARO dealer if you want to replace it. As far as a leather cover, you may want to look for a good Upholsterer in your area. I have seen folks replace them with leather.

Thank you, guys, for the responses.

Just to be clear, Rhett, the Recaros also come with leather, so I was wondering if I could simply order leather replacement covers from them.

Thanks, Dave, for the contact information. I'll let you know what I find!

    Hi.

You can get them retrimmed by any upholsterer,

As for getting covers from Recaro directly. I go a quote on a SPG in standard fabric trim, came to almost £350. you could remove it yourself and make up the pattern if your good like that.

The side leg bolsters are glued on, so that could be tricky

Your best off getting them retrimmed by someone else I reckon.

    hope it helps.

    Hi Matt,

I meant that you could find a good upholsterer to make one for you, I don't know if RECARO offers a leather replacement.

    Thanks,
    Rhett

Right. As both you and Thinker said, a good upholsterer could do it, but I was wondering if leather replacements were sold seperately from Recaro. From their website, it seems like the answer is no, but I haven't even called them yet...
