after nearly 12 years I have decided to put my beloved '78 308 GTS for sale. This forum has been the greatest source of information and help during my ownership and I wish to thank each and every person who replied to many of my posts. The fact that I only drove the car 400 miles last year has prompted the sale...that and the need for a four place sports car to accomodate our growing family (I have a deposit on a 911). She has treated me well, never let me down and must now go to someone who will enjoy it as I did. Here are the details:

78 GTS 74k miles black on black feb 78 production
    2 owner car
    all books/records/tools from day 1

    belts at 62k
crane electronic ignition- new modules- 2005
    crane coils-2005
    distributors lubed and rebuilt-2005
    new caps (aftermarket Italian)-2005
    new rotors (marelli QV style)-2005
    new cavis-black-wires 2005
    new plug extenders- 2005
    Carbs rebuilt-2004
with all new cloth covered fuel hoses
new Corona (original) fuel pump (not that facet stuff!)-2004
radiator rodded and greenstripes hoses 2004
    Optima red top

This car is a driver. Cosmetics are very presentable but far from concourse. I had a few panels refinished and she shines up nicely. There is some of the typical ferrari spider webing in the paint in a few spots but as mentioned the paint shines nicely. The door skins have A few bubbles as do the lower front fenders. The new owner will be given new panels from Europe for the lower front fenders...I never put them on because the bubbles aren't that bad. (I recently sold the replacement doorskins I had for it)

I have put a lot of blood, sweat and money into this car over my 12 year custodianship. I would like $28,500 for the car and all the parts I have for it....the new owner will get the following parts with the car for $28,500

    1) rebuilt steering rack- $500 value
    2) full set of energy suspension bushings- $350 value
    3) new tie rod ends- $200 value
    4) steel repair panels from europe-for lower front fenders and one small piece for rocker panel. (Paid over $1500 for these panels)
    5) Original Ferrari milano key fob- $90
    6) Original sales brochure- $150
    7) all parts for A/C (Now off the car) including a new reciever dryer
    8) valve adjusting tool set from T. Rutlands $150
    9) Valve shim set- $200
    10) Original "blue" ferrari service manual- from Maranello Consessionary Uk(not a copy)- $150
