Hi I am new to this forum and new to Ferrari having just placed my order for the F8. The waiting will be painful. Having downloaded the ferrari app and been given access it now no longer works and says there is a problem at the login stage and to try again later. Is the server down? Sound like the app is tempramental. Thanks in advance.
Welcome! I’ll get straight to it. The app is eternal trash. It may get updated or refreshed from time to time, but, ultimately, it is unreliable and contains more bugs than an old pest strip.
Quick reply. Thx I guessed that from some of the threads. I guess i just need to follow progress directly with my dealership.
I check the app regularity; it appears to be down periodically for maintenance etc. The information on my car with respect to service, mileage recorded at service, and configuration are consistent. The pics of the car in primer moving down the production line are generic (not the actual car). The final photo shoot of the car at the end of production before it is shipped is accurate. You are better off getting status updates from your dealer. Your status on the app is slow.
I remember I had a helluva time getting the app to work. I vaguely recall the keyboard would pop up when entering a password to register, but then the keyboard wouldn't go away and you couldn't scroll to click on the "Next" button. Very frustrating. I forgot how I got it work one day....it was truly annoying. The funny thing is this was with the F8 I placed an order with. I eventually pivoted and got a Speciale instead, but the app still knew me as the F8 owner, so I saw the updates and saw the picture when it rolled off the assembly line. The F8 was eventually removed from my profile when the dealer sold it to the actual owner, and Ferrari placed the Speciale in my profile, but I only got the body in white, which I just learned is generic. They updated the app the other week and I just logged in last night and lo and behold.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don’t know the purpose of the app other than to get a single pic of your car being produced and then to sell you “Ferrari experiences” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Indeed, the my.ferrari.com site is every bit as useless and inconsistent as the app, lol. My configuration there is quite incorrect, and still shows me as "waiting list", when my dealership has specifically told me that my car is 10R
