I must be getting old, that thing looks pretty good. Perhaps a move to hard core porn and you could get the turbo.

ChopT-Can't believe you were busting my balls about V-Rods a week ago, and now you actually admit to buying a ****in' Volvo. ;) We had an S70 lite turbo sedan circa 98- 99 and it was a terrific all-around car with a small glitch (hence this message)- something funky in the electrical system constantly caused bulbs (turn signals, headlites, whatever) to burn out prematurely. I mean, we'd get the bulbs replaced, free at the dealer's, and in less than week, that one, or another one would go out. It got to the point where the dealer just gave us a stash of bulbs, but i was reluctant to deal with the headlights that way. I wrote to Volvo and they denied everything- basically told me to eat **** and die. Six months after the car was no longer ours we got a recall notice, advising of an electrical problem causing the lite bulbs to burn out. Moral- check to see if this car was subject to, and rectified in, that campaign. And good luck- my in-laws buy Volvos, drive them around in Maine til so much stuff falls off 'em that the car won't work anymore. They never wash 'em- the windows get real disgusting from the dog's nose- and when the radiator finally falls out or something, it's time to get another used Volvo. They are 'strong' cars.

Might want to check performance specs on the V70R vs the Roadmonster. I think you will be very surprised. Also ... Buick is GM, not Mopar - and nobody made an engine called the Hemi in 94 at all. Still a big wagon with a 350 is undeniably cool.

only if they have been trained to retrieve birkenstocks without drooling on them :D

    thanks all.

it aint overly fancy, but its a semi-sporty, (hopefully) dependable car.

I'll leave the fast cars to toy duty, and the funky ones to parade and concours.

The bikes? well, they go to the track.... if I can put a trailer hitch on the Volvo... :D

Great choice! I couldn't believe it that I actually considered the V70R too when I was looking as I'm a single 20-something guy and it's about as far from fitting my demographic as any vehicle out there. But after looking into them I was surprised how very nice they are and after reading up on mods for them it's pretty surprising how much power can be made. I particularly love the leather/suede seats and blue guages too. :) I couldn't find one to meet my price point so I passed on it, but I seriously think one of those with an ecu upgrade (supposedly alone will pump the hp in the high pressure version to over 320hp, but I could be wrong), intake/exhaust/dp, bigger more aggressive wheels, and some suspension work would be one helluva fun sleeper. Plus I could realistically fit my mountainbike in the back too which would've been very handy. :D
