Mine arrived, thanks to a gracious neighbor and despite a careless mail carrier! My street address is XX27, and the mail service delivered it to the door of someone on an adjacent street with the number XX72! Wrong street, wrong number, and it would have been marked as "delivered"! Fortunately, the kind soul dropped it at my place. Things have been hectic, so I'm waiting for our imminent vacation to the Outer Banks to dig into this (apparant) masterpiece. The box sure is hefty! Can't wait!
From tomorrow midday until Sunday I will be at the fair "Techno Classica" in Essen, Germany. If anybody wants to meet me, you will find me in hall 3 on the Ferrari Club Deutschland stand or also in hall 3 on the Ferrari Classiche Eberlein stand. Just ask for me. Dino Compendiums will be available, if anybody is interested. Regards Matthias
I`m just coming back from Techno Classica in Essen. All online ordered books will be shipped today or tomorrow. In Essen Ferrari Dinos reached crazy prices... For example a 246 GT with wrong front and very little authenticity but very good restorated condition sold for almost Euro 200.000,- Regards Matthias
Yes, I am looking forward to it. It shipped out on the 2nd of April but according to DHL, the shipment has been sitting in DE, waiting for export to the USA ever since.
Matthias, Every time I pick back up my copy of the Dino book I am just shocked at how thorough a book this is and I easily find 30 minutes have gone by without even noticing. This is months after having first received my book! Thanks again for this wonderful contribution to the community. One thing I couldn't find, though, was details on the pouches themselves and the evolution of them over the years. Did I miss looking in the right place? Ryan
thanks Ryan, the changes made to the pouches you will find in the different chapter of the series (chapter 7 to 10). Especially on E-series Dino the pouch changed 3 times, see explained in the text two. I am in Maranello right now, so I cant give you the price pages... regards Matthias
Hello Matthias, The Dino Compendium arrived exactly as I had requested, one day after my return to Sweden. Perfect timing. I suppose it helps that the post office both here and in Germany appear to function with clockwork precision. Many other members have already praised the photography, layout and graphics, and I can only agree. Incredibly thorough and detailed, and still so tastefully and elegantly presented. It is a superb reference guide. I also think the writing is very good. It strikes the right balance between providing enough information on the one hand, and not being too massive and "wordy", on the other. You got it just right, I think. Congratulations! And, yes, you did a good job on the clock on my dashboard! I thought you would have just added ELLETRONICO, but you transferred the whole clock instead. I would never have noticed except for the fact that the clocks show exactly the same time on the US and European model instrument clusters. Anyway, a very nice job! Lars

I believe Ryno is referring to the interior material used on the document pouches. Should you need photos please let me know
WOW! I finally got a chance to delve into this AMAZING volume! It really is incredible. Now I need to get a 246GT some day....
many thanks to Ian and Dave for setting up this great Dino talk. I really enjoyed to meet so many nice people. Regards Matthias http://www.barkaways.com/news/barkaways-welcomes-matthias-bartz
Yes i would agree, it takes someone special to produce a document / book of this quality. The research must have been mind boggling. I would like to extend my thanks to Mathias too. Tony I have asked my wife to ask Santa claus if there are any of these books available in greenland!!!
Got my copy last week - sorry for posting late, but I've been busy reading. Fantastic work, Matthias!
The Dino Compendium received yesterday an "ADAC Motorwelt book award 2012", category "special award". The handing over of the award took place at the world largest book fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
