The last remaining detail on my car was replacement of drop gears. The original gears were badly worn, likely due to poor lubrication by the previous owner. Unfortunately finding replacement gears was a serious pain. Superformance doesn't carry them anymore, Classiche was completely useless, and I couldn't find any good used sets, let alone a NOS set. The only supplier was Dino Parts in Germany, and their gears are an aftermarket replacement, not original parts. Since I didn't have any choice, I bought those. Patrick Ottis just installed them last week and they work perfectly. No discernible gear whine, I'm happy to say. So here's one case where the aftermarket parts actually seem to have worked, and worked well. As soon as the rain lets up I'll take the car out and drive it for a while and see how it behaves in a bunch of different conditions, but so far I'm very happy.
