    Dear Ferraristi,

My name is Dan and I just recently moved back to North Eastern Connecticut with my family. I have taken over my family business (bar/restaurant) in the Groton/Mystic area.

I was formerly employed in Dallas by Boardwalk Ferrari as the assistant service manager, concourso director and Challenge team technical and logistics manager. I was fortunate enough to travel and work all over the U.S. With Level 5, the red white and blue car and most recently the yellow on black 458 car of Mr. Taylor. I was also part of Boardwalks Classiche program on procurement and liaison between us and FNA/SpA.

That being said, I would like to be a stop or destination for local events. I can fit about 30 cars in front of my building in an area separate from the larger lot.

We are located on route 1 in Groton that leads into Mystic/Stonington. We are The Spot Cafe on 11 Buddington Road. We have a full outside covered patio and bar. We will be doing Buffett concert nights and other brewery events at the patio bar all summer.

With this I will offer all you fchatters and FCA members special pricing for food and drink at a any time.

I can be reached at 860-961-2173 24 hours a day. If you have any questions, or need me to look over a car don't hesitate to call on me. This community has been very good to me and I will return the favor.

    Cheers!

    Dan B

    Hi Dan:

I know where your place is -- we used to walk our dogs out at Bluff Point. I'll try to stop in next week with the F-car. Thanks for the kind offer. Given your background, I'd expect local F-chatters to be queuing up for conversation! I know a few of us are quite local and we're always looking for a nice venue to hang out. Your parking area and outdoor seating sounds just right.

I will try to make it to most of the events. I'm only here 83 hours a week :)

I will make the parking area Ferrari/Exotic friendly, plus it's right outside the patio bar. I will post up all of the events we have outside to keep you guys and gals in the loop.

We've been here for 21 years and it's refurbishing time, so bare with us. I just about have the patio bar redone.

As far as the after party for any event, we're ready and willing at the drop of a hat.

Call or text me with info and I will accommodate.

    Cheers!

Now to find a place to hang all my Challenge parts!

Welcome back. I am aware of your restaurant as well. I don't get over to Groton all that often with my 348 but I'll try to make an exception. Perhaps the Gatherers would like to do an eastern shoreline cruise sometime.

It sounds like you won't get much weekend time to yourself but it you do, come up to Glastonbury some Sunday morning.

    Oh...and What Challenge parts?

I have old body panels, rotors, mirrors, engine parts, etc. from over the years.

I will get over to Glastonbury this summer at some point. An eastern shoreline cruise would be cool.

Check out our FB page if you are into that stuff. Thanks for the warm welcome back!

Hi Dan, sounds interesting, I'll for sure stop by and check out The Spot.

And before you hang any of those challenge parts, let me know if any fit a 355 :D

We can always see what 430C mirrors look like on a 355 :)

I know the place pretty well. The lobster mac & cheese is GREAT! I've stopped by in the TR several times.
If anybody comes down to the area, let me know. I only live a few minutes away and am always down for a beer or three.

I saw the TR here a couple weeks ago! I ran in then out and you were gone. Nobody understood my excitement....but I guess they wouldn't. :)

Great... I got a huge craving for that lobster mac & cheese, so I had to take the TR out and come to The Spot. Now I'm sitting at the bar waiting for dinner.
    Thanks...

Well I'll be damned... My random cravings don't know your schedule. I'm sure I'll be back soon enough, though. Maybe lunch tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks for the beer!
