Rumor has it Rosso Motorsports will be open soon in sourthern johnson county. I have seen the shop and it is one of the nicest and cleanest shops you will ever see much better than many dealerships. The lounge is a great place to hang out and lie to each other about how fast our cars are. The shop owners are die hard exotic fans and exotic car owners. Lets all get behind these guys! I already have my winter oil change and full detail on their appointment books. Lets fill the place up.

Doug and Chris both have successful businesses outside the exotic car industry. They certainly know how to treat customers well. With their strength of character and enthusiasm for these cars, I'm convinced this will be a top notch establishment. Mary and I are defintely taking our cars to them.

    Sincerely,
    Larry

Well I've really only posted on this board about 10 times or so in the last 2 1/2 years, but I just couldn't pass up this opportunity.
I recently became Rosso Motorsports' first customer. After an accessory belt failed during a test drive on my 355, the car was taken to Rosso (at the time, it was unclear what the actual problem was). Rosso provided quick and efficient service at a time that was likely very inconvenient for them (Thanksgiving holiday, preparation for their official opening, Chris Hill out of town, etc). In addition, as I was still actively selling the vehicle, they prepared it for it's transportation to it's new home in Wisconsin--all at absolutely no inconvenience to me. As many who know me will tell, I am an absolute stickler when it comes to good service--and my experience with Rosso has been nothing short of great. Although I'll miss my 355, Rosso made servicing as well as selling my car a pleasurable experience. Establishments like this in the KC area will be the reason I will purchase another Ferrari. BTW, I was also delighted to find out that the total bill was a small fraction of what I was actually expecting to pay! Keep up the great work guys!

Sounds like a great facility! Someone please post contact info for this shop (address, phone with area code, and email or website if possible). If it is what you all say it is, it should draw from a wide area. Thanks!

Shawn, It was a pleasure to me you. It is ironic that you are a Ferrari owner yourself from Oregon and your stay in K.C. just so happened coincided with our monthly breakfast meeting at the Sheraton in Overland Park Ks. I wish you could have attended the breakfast meeting with us. It is a breakfast meeting we always look forward to and your attendance would have been enjoyed by all. I also am glad that you took time to visit our new Ferrari repair facility. We are looking forward to providing excellent service to the many familiar cars (and people) in our area as well as expanding our services to new Ferrari folks outside the K.C. area! I hope you enjoyed your stay in K.C. If you make it back our way, be sure to contact us so we can include you in our very busy Ferrari agenda. We are a very active and fun group, Welcome!....... As far as our NEW shop info for those that are interested (and btw, we appreciate the kind remarks), we can be reached at (913) 681-2220. We officially opened this week and are already very busy with Ferrari work and more! Our professional detailing service is also a added service that makes our facility a one stop shop Thanks again, Doug C

I know this is a Ferrari Forum but lets not forget about the Vipers. I will be handling all of the Viper repair work at Rosso Motorsports. I have been meticulously repairing many of the Vipers in the Kansas City area for the past five years. I was honored when I was approached with the opportunity to repair Vipers at Rosso.

I am not just a mechanic; I am a Viper owner and the VP of the Kansas City Viper Club. (Did that just sound like an advertisement for the Hair Club for men?)

Rosso has an amazing setup. There service is the best in town. It's worth the drive just to tour the facility.

Jerry's working on my Viper right now. He is by far the most knowledgeable Viper mechanic I have ever known.

He has also been a really good friend and treats everyone fairly. NO ONE WILL TREAT YOUR CAR WITH MORE RESPECT. If any of you need work done I highly recommend Rosso Motorsports and especially Jerry Dobson.

Jerry sleeps vipers, talks incessantly about vipers, spend his whole life working on viper...In short, the guy knows every thing about vipers.

The only thing Jerry doesn't do is have sex in his viper......And for that, Jerry...., the answer is "Yes, Cialis is right for you!!!!!".

I had the opportunity to get the full tour on Sunday with Mr. Parr. Suffice it to say, I'm looking forward to what 2007 brings to Rosso. From organizing events, to service, detailing, and finding a home for your exotic, they've got what you need!

Wow! thanks for all of the private messages! Yes, you can attend if you did not get an invitation!

I would like to point out that Dave Helms shop Scuderia Rampante is alive and doing extremely well! Dave is staying in Boulder, but will be a part of the Rosso team! Rosso Motorsports and Scuderia Rampante have an alliance that we believe will be in the best interest of Ferrari owners throughout the region.

Scuderia Rampante, in my opinion, is the best independent Ferrari facility in midwest, we hope to be able to duplicate Dave's passion in Kansas City and let the Ferrari owners in Kansas City be the ultimate beneficiary of our mutual passion for Ferrari's.

Come see us and meet Dave Helms on February 10th!

Hi! I lived in KCKS in 1978. It is the best kept secret in America. Obviously, Johnson County would be the place for Ferrari anything. I now live in PA, sadly. I have to service my 575M in Philadelphia. How about letting me know what's going on in my favorite place in the whole world. I'm at [email protected]. Thanks, Ken
