Very nice pics Jody !
thank you william. my fingers were starting to freeze off so i didn't take many. =) i hope to see you an event soon!
We on for tomorrow. The weather looks like it will hold at RTC. Trevor will be tomorrow's host. The plan is to rotate hosts based on who's interested who regularly attends and knows the drill. Given that we didn't know the weather would look good enough until late, we have no idea what to expect tomorrow. We want to come out while we can given that we may see a stretch of bad weather Saturdays, so please join us while the weather holds.
As Tom has just posted, weather report for tomorrow morning has improved, so Exotics At RTC is on for tomorrow morning, 8:30A!!!! If you are looking for a cup o' coffee tomorrow, please visit one of the RTC coffee establishments to buy your coffee and donuts. There are two Starbuck's, a Tully's and take-out coffee (breakfast too!) at Ruby's diner located on the property, all very much within walking distance. Last week's event was very successful, a lot of nice cars to see, I enjoyed meeting everyone. I'd like to add to what Tom has said in the previous post, we would like to try something new with the parking arrangements to improve how the cars are displayed, improve photo opportunities and spectator views. I'll post a diagram of the event parking plan later today. Vic in Seattle. PS: For those of you who have not made one of the events yet, but want to see what it's about, it's pretty cool! I linked a couple of youtube videos of some of the action from last week's event. Mods- I hope this is OK? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNYafFKtA8w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhufryRaOl8
I wish I could but I'll be working this weekend again to pay for my "SINS". Next month I'll be ready to bring the Mistress out for some fun.
One of these weekends we both need to make it! I won't be there this week....other plans in the works. Maybe next weekend before dyno day??
Arny is gone throughout March (he's an old guy, so he feels the need to spend a month in Palm Springs ) so no Franklin or Lotus until then. I'm planning on having the GT4 ready by the time he gets back so that I can drive it up and we can bring it to the first one after his return.
Exotics At Redmond Town Center To make the cars display better for spectators and photographers, we are going to ask everyone to back their cars into the space, but at roughly a 20 deg angle as shown in the diagram. The event has already outgrown it's small corner of the lot so we are going to expand northward of the current area as marked off in the diagram. I hope to see everyone there!! hey Vic, i'm glad this has already outgrown the current lot. thanks for sharing the videos too. i can't make it this Saturday but will come again soon.
Hi Sid, It's been a bit busy managing the cars at RTC, and I need to share the load with Tom. We had around 50 cars last week, not sure what to expect tomorrow. As much as I hate to pass up an excellent French pastry, I'll pass and head over directly to RTC. I hope to see you tomorrow!! Vic PS: to Kristian, hey well see the next sunny Saturday morning!
Exotics AT Redmond Town Center Here is a small group of photos from the 100 or so photos I took at today's meet. Today was a record breaking event, this week we roughly counted between 50-60 cars, the number of cars and spectators has increased every week. I must say, not a bad turnout for a cold, late February day in the Seattle area. To put this into perspective just two days ago there was 0.5 to 2" of snow on the ground! A lot of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the event. BTW, this event will be hosted every clear weather morning on Saturdays---8:30am until 10:00-ish Vic in Seattle Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
nice photos! that's fun to see so many great cars. you don't see a Ferrari F40 or classic Shelby Mustang every day!
That was Kuzi. The owner/manager of Desert Fire, Tony pulled out all the stops and I'd like to thank him for all his trouble keeping everyone in coffee, cookies and other snacks. What a great guy! This was a big group and we seem to be growing now through word of mouth outside the two forums. I'd also like to thank Trevor for acting at host and lot manager for the day. It's become a lot of running around. It's become too difficult for just one person to manage everything. We're going to work on that this week as groups of non-exotics are starting to show up and it's going to be more and more difficult to manage without more help.
Looks like a great turnout. I couldn't make it this week but maybe next. I'm so glad this is working out well, it should REALLY be fun during the nice summer months!!
Yea, I really thought we'd see fewer people this week because of the marginal forecast until Friday. So many people made other plans when it wasn't looking so good, but instead we had even more cars come play. It was a lot of fun.
tommy and vic, i would like to thank you gentlemen for putting on a great event. i have never made many car meets, but the way this has been orchestrated I have been to every single one thus far! keep up the great work. i am the owner of the black db9.
A few more shots from Saturday. Another fun event--this is going to be huge when the sun comes out! Nice to see Mixalot come back again, I spoke to him for a few moments and he was having a good time, just being a "car guy" along with everyone else.
