have you guys seen it. Whole article on trulli and how he drives. Steering inputs and braking are supossedly much more dramatic than anybody else. Any thought?

Does it say "Racing" under the F1? Big red F1? If so, it has been out since 1996.

Great magazine; I have all the issues. First few were all Senna and Schumy.

Mule, that is the Magazine. In addition it is the 100th Edition and has the 100 Greatest F1 Drivers by 77 Experts (16 World Champions, Team Managers & Owners, Engineers, and Journalist):

    Here are the Top 5:

    1) Ayrton Senna
    2) Juan Manuel Fangio
    3) Jim Clark
    4) Michael Schumacher
    5) Alain Prost

I think Vincent saw the May issue with Trulli, and the June issue has the 100 drivers. I did not know it was the 100 issue. Dang, I have 99 more of those in the basement?!

Now the short-lived Formula 1 magazine by Bernie was almost some competition, but I think F1 Racing has a monopoly right now. Racer has done less on F1 each issue, On Track went under, so that leaves F1 Racing. Unless Vincent did find a new magazine, which would be cool. I don't think we reached a conclusion if it is the same one or not.

    I made one error :

    Schumacher #3
    Clark#4

However, to me Clark would have been 3, Prost 4, and Schumacher 5.

Hmmm my thought are these dramatic inputs are costing him time ... smooth is faster.

that was my initial reaction as well. When you see the onboard shots of the different cars, the faster drivers (read MS) are rarely wrestling the car around the track. Is it a set up issue, or chassis?

Good question but I do not know the answer.

I do know from my own humble club racing experience that a car that is dialed in and working well is so much easier to drive it is not funny, and so much faster. The important thing here is that it is far less taxing on the driver and he/she can consentrate on other things like racing ...

I doubt it is just driving style, because the team would be working hard on that ...

Do you mean that if Trulli was overdriving that someone on the team would be telling him so. Or is he setting up the car this way? It seems strange to me that he would be doing that but then again I'm not an f1 driver. I would think that the team would notice this type of telemetry and ask him what's wrong with the car. He's pretty fast though, not as fast as some others.

I would have thought so. I would if I was a team manager. I would not just go up to a driver and say his driving style is wrong though, I would sit him down and go through the telemetry and explain why less is best. Even crappy Aussie v8 Supercar teams/drivers are aware of this and some try to be smoother, etc.

The other F1 mag, which was titled simply "F1" and in the same font as the FIA, was canned.

www.itv-f1.com wrote an article on how Bernie decided to can it. Don't know why, liked it a lot better than the current.

Yes and Opinions are like A-Holes, everyone has one. This list was compiled by 77 People, from F1 Drivers, Team Owners, Engineers, Etc.

Judging by your previous posts about racing, you take the #1 ****** award.

I remember that one. Only out for about a year and a half. I think I got all the issues of that. I think the editor was Mansell for the first few issues, then Irvine for a while. F1 Racing has had the staying power though.
