Ohhhh - now I got it. So I should just sit tight then cause he told me that he had that in a long time ago. So with the f12 line shut down wouldn't that delay things for their new 2017 refresher model? Or was that the reason for the shut down for modifications for the 2017?

Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep driving my 458 for the time being.

Doubt that it would have any effect on the timing of the next iteration....when that comes out is conjecture at best

The F12VS has nothing to do with the F12 replacement. The F12VS is to the F12 what the 599GTO was to the 599GTB, or Speciale was to the Italia.
Ferrari has what looks to be a 5 year plan as far as debuting cars go. The FFM will most likely launch in 2016 at Geneva, and the Cali T update in Paris. The F12VS will not debut at Geneva. According to some of the chosen few here, it will be a private unveiling in the late fall or early winter this year. Will Ferrari showcase the car on the stand at Geneva? Who knows. Logic suggest that they will debut the F12 replacement at either Geneva or Frankfurt that year.

    Who's your source?

A couple buddies of mine who are friends with guys who are getting the F12VS said Geneva. Now that's all whisper down the lane. So god knows if it was mistaken somewhere down the line. My main concern is I was looking at ordering a F12 so should I go through or are they going to change it in two years and then I'll be stuck.

First off, take the 2017 as a good guess, it might be 2018 before they debut the F12M. It won't be 2016, that's for sure. The FF will need to be replaced first. Also, Ferrari won't replace the F12 the same year they do the F12 "Raw". That's like shooting yourself in the foot with a cannonball.

Are you located in the US? If so and you don't already own a V12, and have a "relationship" with your dealer, an F12M seems very far away. Some US dealers won't even sell recently launched new V12 cars to non-V12 owners.

I am in the states and I agree the F12M is very far away for me.

Does anybody know how much blue carbon is in the F12.

F12 has more noticeable body roll than the 458 and you sit much higher. Sound and power wise it's a different league.
