I really like the looks of my Speedline wheels. They really look good on the 355. Definitely the closest rival to the OEM.
I remember a big debate on it some time back and I took away from that that they were not a factory option but quite a few of them were delivered from the dealerships with this rim on them so it was decided it was a dealer option. I don't think anyone ever produced any concrete evidence of how it went, but there had to be some kind of process in place for hundreds of 355 to get the same 3 piece Speedline rims put on them.

    Did you get your car?

Here's a little update on mine:

    1) My Fabspeed y-pipe had a crack in it and luckily while taking it off my neighbor tells me he has a shop where he can weld it so that was convenient.

    2) I ordered the Capristo since I was encouraged by so many here to do so. I ordered it from Mike @ Yellow Compass and the factory sent me one without the thermocouple bung. Mike has been great to work with and Capristo said they would pay for the cost to weld it in. Fast Cars has already done the weld and the car sounds amazing.

There is absolutely no comparison between the stock muffler and the Capristo. Combining the Fabspeed headers with the Hyperflow cats and Capristo mufflers makes for one of the best sounding exhausts I've ever heard. It is a loud exhaust but in my opinion the stock one is way too quiet.

    3) One of the previous owners of the car had installed a custom speaker set up in the trunk. It was well done but not my cup of tea and I actually want to take the car on trips and use the space. I got the speakers out and this weekend I'll finish cleaning it up and removing the extra wires.

I have a F355 GTS myself here in Europe and the value has been increasing around 2.5 times in the two yeats I have owned it. That's a good bonus too wirh the 355. :)

Forgot to respond to this. They haven't increased that much in the US but it would be quite something if they did.

I've been working on returning the car to stock (minus the exhaust) for the past 2 weekends and I'm more or less finished. The car had 2 subwoofers, 2 amplifiers, a few microphones along with controls for these things. I've never dealt with so many wires in my life and didn't want to just disconnect and hide them. Tracking and removing each one proved quite some work but now that I'm done I feel much happier.

Final thing is I had some sticky buttons. In addition, my HVAC controls had been de-stickied but had a glossy finish. I sent them all to Larry (lorenzo355) and he did a great job restoring them. Now I don't have black fingerprints anymore after touching the controls. Still amazes me Ferraris have had this problem for so long and they haven't bothered to fix it when it's so simple.

Great work removing all that audio equipment and associated wiring. Who needs a radio when you have the capristo to listen to.

Not shown in the pic but I removed the radio too. A friend of mine will make me a radio delete plate. This car with a Capristo is an eargasm!

I've actually been quite inspired by your thread so I will start to recondition the interior as well. Then the exterior...

Good to hear! I removed the HU too and haven't regretted it once. The 355 is a joy to work on and there is always something at this age that needs attention, for me it's a great hobby car, one you can drive, enjoy, tinker and restore where needed.

Think I saw you and your car at Supercar Sunday last weekend. If so, awesome car. And thanks for the info and your insight concerning the purchase and work you have had done on the car.
