Hello all, first and foremost, my gratitude to the members of FChat for the information shared on this board. The knowledge base exhibited here was instrumental in my education of how to acquire my new beauty as well as the steps necessary to ensure that I entered into my new "relationship" eyes wide open. My thanks goes out to those I dealt with (Cam and Damian at CNC in Ontario, California, Craig at Fast Cars Ltd., and yes, I even had the pleasure of speaking with the legendary Brian Crall up in San Ramon.

I started with one a car in mind and gradually moved from the 80's into the 90's and fell in love with the 355. Say what you will (yes I even spoke to a gentleman about performing a PPI and was asked if "I was a big boy" and ready to take on the responsibilities of 355 ownership - engine out service included - to which I responded a resounding yes, hopefully I do not live to regret it) but man, this is one hell of a sexy car, from the nose to the rear, she's hot.

I visited a number of cars up and down the state of CA once I figured out the model, then was the color, thought I was sold on Red/Tan combo but so many choices....all great. Search was tough, lots of cars out there that have been mistreated, and shady folks trying to pawn them off with low prices, what a shame :(. Also found many F1 cars, even a one owner vehicle in Los Gatos CA (if you want a Red/Tan F1 355 for a good price, this one looks great, saw it in person) but truly, I could not get comfortable taking one down, as the 3 pedal cars had my number. What sealed it was "urgetodrive"'s post on You Tube titled "Driving the Ferrari F355", hearing the engine and the movement through the manual gears was over the top (thank you lady).

As I was getting ready to fly back east, a local operator put a recent trade in up on the boards and I shot out to see her last week. Although it may have been love at first sight, I have received a good education from my brethren and held firm by reaching out to Craig's shop to provide a PPI. Very difficult since she was in such good shape from the outside!

The PPI came in extremely clean, just some small nit's and nat's. This work is being done at the shop that did the PPI (thanks Craig) and I expect my "Blue" to be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday, just in time to take a drive early Thanksgiving morning!

Here are some details and know that I will post my own photos soon and look forward to the next cars and coffee in Irvine.

    Thanks again bruddahs!
