No offense to anyone, but how reliable is your source? What are the chances this is a test mule when they were designing the challenge cars? I would be thrilled if this IS the "430 CS" because that is what I'm waiting for!
I don't know how reliable the source is, that's why I posted it here to ask any of you knew more. It is clear to me that the yellow car on the picture looks exactly like a Challenge-version and I wonder how the real CS would look like.
430 challenge has different wheels and they are center locks. This is no challenge car. This looks more like a regular 430 with the CS wheel option and challenge rear bumper/grill/exhaust treatment.
Ferrari is already on record saying that the F430 is going to be replaced in 2008. The Dutch paper said the F430 CS would be availble in 2007. All the time frames make sense. This car just might be the F430 CS?
the 599 GTB's rear is more like original ferraris with only two taillights. I'd imagine that that's a first phase test if anything, and the production version will SURELY tailor it's appearance to compliment it's features-- meaning they'll likely ditch the stock exhaust outlets if they opt for the rear-center locale.

I was going to point out the center lock wheels, but I was trying NOT to get my hopes up I do hope this picture is a test mule for the 430 CS version!
I totally agree but the engine does cool faster with it and performance is the whole point of the Challenge Stradale.
HATE THE CHALLENGE GRILL! I hope for: --Extra HP --More weight reduction than that posted --At least some styling differences between the normal 430, like they did with the 360CS --A stripe!
The car looks to be an early rendition. I doubt that that style of exhaust would even pass in the US, height wise. I'm also guessing that F must think that they'll get an OK for the airbag thing for the US too.
Nope I'm not keen on it either, but think it would look much better if they panted the black surround body colour and just left the mesh black. I know this would be more akin to the stock grill, but I'm not that keen on the stock grill either. Also I hope that they will bring out a different rim design for the CS as they have now made the CS wheels available on the standard car, meaning they aren't as special as they were. I also guess that this is unlikely as the CS wheels are supposedly v. light already and so I imagine it will only happen if they can produce some other wheels that are even lighter. PS: that exhaust has to stay for the production version - nice reference to the Challenge car. I also expect that it is probably a more extreme exhaust than the stock one, so can't wait to hear if it sounds any different.
I think it looks bad also. However, I don't like the challenge grill on the 360 either. I think only 360 CS's should have had them.
The F430 was a transition car between the 360 and the next completely new ground-up model, a 360 with a facelift and more power to shut Lamborghini up for a few years. 2-3 years was the planned run so 2007 CS is a reality. I'm #1 on my dealers list and feeling real good right now!!! My GT3RS coming in spring 2007 and then this one in late summer would be real nice...
