    $2000 for 82 pages, printed at home on an inkjet...and whilst the cars look nice the pictures don't look especially inspired. Don't think I'll be rushing to sign up for a copy...

    2000 is insanity! 200 maybe but even that is rather high.

    Hi Bill;

    I read with interest your post and replies re my Ferrari Art Portfolio Book priced at $2,000.00 on www.ferrariphoto.ca and can understand how over the internet this may sound far fetched. I am by trade an aerial photographer with 11 aerial books published to my credit. We shot John's Ferrari collection over a 6 week period and have now produced 3 of these Ferrari books (all paid for in full) in the last 2 months, the website was just launched recently. I can assure you that the quality of these art prints is second to none and that John Calley, being a Hollywood movie producer knows the value of good imagery, was very satisfied with his custom made book. By way of an example, the special archival paper and the fine Moroccan goat skin used to bind the book costs almost $1,000.00. I think if you could hold and enjoy one of these portfolios first hand you would understand the value in it. I am not a Ferrari owner but am an enthusiast who used to rally Jags and have a passion for these cars. The purpose of the portfolio is to present this wonderful Ferrari collection on a level befitting the vehicles themselves. I hope this sheds some light on the project.
    Cheers;
    Russ

    Thanks, Russ. We have an "official" book collectors' thread going in this forum...perhaps you'd like to post some information about your books there.
