Hi, my name is Klaus and I am from Germany. I am a lurker for a few month to get information of some Ferraris and now I have bought a new to me 599 GTB. It is my first Ferrari, because I love the old american V8 Iron, i have some Chevrolets from 1937 to the 80`s. For the first moment I wanted a water-cooled 911 Porsche, THE German sportscar, or a Ferrari with a V12, nothing else! And if you sit in a 599 GTB and start the engine, you know what you want.... I think, it is one of the Best, affordable, Schumacher inspired and not too new machines with a lot of sensors and/or Turbos or "downsizing ****". I want a big, highwinding, N/A engine like a badass camed american V8, and the Enzo-like V12 is just like that and better... I don't be afraid of more mileage and my 2007 has 81000 kilometers, this is not a problem for me and I let change ALL the Oils and plugs and filters right now. Here are a few pics : Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login The car is black/black and has enough power to get me in trouble every second and I did not rev it to the redline yet... A lot of fun and a very nice and informative forum !! Have a nice summer and best greetings to ALL ! Klaus
Very nice and I see you have a truck collection including an El Camino. My father owned several of those over the years.
Welcome Klaus Happy to see a guy from south Germany here. Perhaps near me, would be great. I sent you a message. Daniel
Hi Taz, El Camino are nice cars and this one is on the outside, because the engine is out in the moment to get a new mech. roller cam . There is a healthy DZ 302" V8 engine with a 3.00" crank in it and has a redline of 8000 rpm, sounds like racecar and is a handful. Especially with the not sooo sophisticated Camino- frame...lol. I built a 69 Camaro right now to get this engine in its factory living space back. I am happy to see some German Ferrari Drivers on this forum. To this moment, all are from South-Germany. I am a lot on american and international forums and it is good to see other Germans are here, because most of them are for BMW, Porsche and so on ! Sunny summer greetings to ALL !
Klaus- Nice, 327 block and 283 crank, (4"x 3") just like the 67 Z28 Camaro. May help overcome some of the understeer.
Hi Daniel, my name is Dom. Seems we have a few Ferrari fans around here! Quick plug: Car always serviced at Saggio in MUC who are awesome.
