In the past it seemed the theory was that if we here in the USA cut our consumption of gas usage the price would fall due to a growing surplus. So now we have these new regulations coming out for fuel efficiency and I doubt they will help and just end up costing us consumers more money when buying a new vehicle. Times have changed and if we don't buy the oil you know India, China and others will pick up any available oil. Read the other day that in Beijing alone they are adding 2,000 additional vehicles a day. China is following the US and building huge storage capabilities for strategic reserves and will surely keep all oil producing Countries very busy. So once again new Federal regs will just end up costing us more money .
