This is the official posting for Ferrari 308 fusebox assembly and covers, covering all GT4, GTS/GTB, carb'd and injected 308's -- both RHD and LHD (original forum thread here).

This is an aftermarket replacement using modern mini-blade fuses instead of the original bullet-type fuses. This means significantly improved electrical performance across your entire vehicle (reduces voltage drops across the fuse box from ~0.5V+ to less than 50mV). In many cases, this results in brighter lights and faster power windows -- as well as resolving some of the "ghosts in the machine".

The new fuse assembly is a drop in replacement for the original two fuse boxes, and it typically takes about an hour to replace. Unlike the original, the new solution is a single piece. This also means the original fuse covers do not work -- so a replacement cover is offered. In addition to upgrading to modern fuses, the new fuse box offers an LED system to help locate burned out fuses as well as space to store 3 spare fuses.

The fusebox assembly is $450 USD + shipping worldwide. This includes the fuse board, fuses, base plate, fasteners, cover, vehicle specific decal, and installation manual. All boards are individually tested before shipping.

I'll need Full Name, Year/Model/Spec/Drive, Shipping Address and Paypal Address to process your order. This is just a hobby for me, so please be patient. I'm usually able to respond with a day or two, but I am sometimes away from the shop.

    Thanks!!!

    Jason - Excellent, e-mail sent!

A suggestion: The old thread which you referenced above was originally posted in the 308 section and was closed by a moderator due to an issue which has seemingly now been sorted.

I'd suggest that you contact a moderator and ask for that old thread to be unlocked. Reasoning is that you'll attract far more eyeballs in the 308 forum than you could do in this more general forum.

    Cheers - DM

Very cool product. I did the home made replacement on mine when I had it, this is much better and WAY more professional.

FYI for GT4 owners: pricing for the fusebox assembly is $460 USD ($10 more than the GTBx/GTSx). I'd forgotten to include that in the original listing.

The GT4 has a lot less room in the glovebox, which means Ferrari had to run the wiring harness "sandwiched" between the fusebox and the backing plate. This means that the baseplate for the new fusebox solution is a bit more complicated than the GTB/GTS baseplate -- and a bit more expensive.

Roughly 10% of all the assemblies that I've supplied to date are for GT4 owners -- the solution works very well. It's just higher cost :(

Sorry for not including that info in the original listing.

    Hey all,
I've exhausted my existing supply of RHD boards (still have plenty of LHD boards and continue to re-stock). I'm trying to figure out if I should place another manufacturing order for more assembled RHD boards.

In the past four years, I've sold LHD to RHD boards in a 10:1 ratio -- so it's not clear if there's enough demand to place an order for more.

Please let me know if you've got a RHD 308 and are potentially interested in next few years purchasing a fuseboard solution. You can just use the "Like" button.
    thanks,
    Jason

Hey Jason - Your fusebox replacement is a real work of art! I'm almost tempted to get one just to mount on my wall :). Thanks for the great innovation!

Years ago I installed the "Birdman" fusebox on my RHD 308 GTS. If you make more for RHD put me down for one!

    Thanks

Hey Jason just checking if you have any RHD boards in stock or what lead time might be? Thanks, Graham.

    Hi Graham,
I just sold my last RHD assembly a few months ago :(

However, with your request, that makes at least four folks who'd express some interest in a new run -- so I'll get the ball rolling. I'll contact the fabrication/assembly house and check on timelines, but I'd guess it'll be a couple months lead time.

I'll ping this channel when the RHD assemblies are back in stock.

Also, I've had to move my shop over the winter break, so many thanks to the customers who've been patient with me while I've prioritized getting the new space up and running. I should be ready to start shipping out w/in the next week.

    Thanks!
    Jason

    Mitchell,
Unfortunately, my solution doesn't fit the 328.

The 328 moved to a much larger assembly that incorporates the fuses and relays into a single solution. It still uses "bullet" style fuses (boo) and can have de-lamination issues in the circuit board -- so it can still be a weak point in the electrical system.

I believe that GT Car Parts has a solution that replaces the circuit board (you have to send them your old one, as they re-use the plastic housing). There may be others as well.

    Good luck!
    Jason

My '89 has blade fuses and owners manuals from '86 onward show blade fuses.

If a 328 has bullet fuses, somebody must have retrofitted it with a 308 fuse/relay board! :)

Heh... well clearly that's what I get for doing a quick internet search on 328 fuse panels. Strangely, with more internet'ing, it looks like Ferrari made both blade and bullet fuse versions for the 328? Is that right?
