John...Garage came out great. Are you going to put a lift in for minor service? Need some flat screens and a nice stereo and Linda will never get you out of there. Mazel Tov!

NICE WORK! I'm currently in the process of designing/ building mine. The 2 room extensions are done. Now I come to the garage itself & am having trouble finding floor covering that looks like marble. I have only space for 1 car.

The floor was a deal $1600, some guy in Princeton was stuck with about 1200 sq ft of yard square industrial carpet so we took it from him and he installed it for cost. Had to buy another 800 sq ft though. I have about 15 replacement squares for extra. I'll get his name if you want it.

Although the carpet is great especially for the tires (flat spotting, etc), one concern. the carpet is put down using a rubber cement base. If you stop the car on the carpet and turn the wheel, you can lift the square. I've not had that much problem with it, but it's something to think about.

How do I get them in? I have one 16 foot door (town wouldn't give me an OK for more then four doors)right in the center of the room. I back in easily, one shot.

I love your new garage..is it attached to your house or free standing? I wish I had seen it before I started building my free standing additional garage which can house up to 8 cars, with none stacked on top of each other., The bar was especially a great idea.

I had jammed up to 7 cars in my present garage but it was so time consuming to get the car out I wanted to drive to work that day...so after years of wishy washy thinking, I decided to build this 2000+ square foot structure. It was supposed to take 3 months, they are on month no 5 and still not close to being finished. When completed, I will take pictures and post. NJow i can have all my cars easily accessible, will move my lift and one of the toolboxes across to the new garage and really enjoy the space. I chose to use metal trusses and a concrete block structure to reduce the chances of fire, so i left the ceiling exposed, and I have 11 feet of space from the floor. In the days to come, I will add benches, built in cabinets etc...there is lots of room for anything there.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

Sorry Gus, I'm getting old, get ajs and asg 's all mixed up sometimes. I'd like it done when you all come over...Hope you and Josi are fine as well..

Coach, if I buy another car, forget it, I"ll be in trouble, not easy...good luck on your 2000+, this one is 1900 and I didn't realize how big that was..

It's attach to the house so I can use it as a room without going outside. It has it's own a/c and heat, plus a first class filter so I can keep the cars uncovered..

I love the Trans Ams. I had an 84 anniv edition as well. I got it in trade for about 1500 in stereo equipement. Not a bad car, numbers matched but the interior was shot. Original seats were gone and the wheel was trashed. I sold it when someone a a Pontiac Club show offered me $4k for it. My wife wants me to get a black 77 but I am working toward the Ferrari and don't want to take my eye off of the ball. Nice cars and garage, very well done.

I have always had to cram 7 cars in my garage originally designed for four. With the help of a life and double parking the smaller cars, I was able to squeeze 7 cars there. I always had other outside and that was no good. You cant collect cars and park them outside. So I added the new garage and made it 45 feet deep, enought space to comfortably double park 2 cars in each slot, and now I have to start looking for more cars to add to my collection...hopefully the next one will be a 360 or 430 spider...though all my Ferraris are 12's right now...

Can you give me information on the filter you are using? We have lots of pollen this time of the year and my cars have to be covered inside the garage otherwise they will have a fine dusting of yellow pollen on them every day.
My garage will have its own A/C and Heat system...the windows are solid and cannot be opened...but of course the doors will be opened to get ion and out. What brand and what capacity?

I'm in Chicago, but I'll check when I get back and let you know, It wasn't that bad, but it is not a stand a lone, it is installed in the heating /a/c equipment.

Duc, I purchased the 84 in Canada, shipped it in from the Pacific, it was in perfect condition, but had been garaged and not moved for 10 years. I had to replace the tires and clean the fuel system before using it. Runs great (slow by great), 5 speed which makes it one of about 304.
