I have a three car garage and one bay is for the toy car.. I wanted to cover an area of 19 X 11 and see how it holds up and eventually do the whole garage..

I considered racetrax and other but they usually ended up being pricey.. I found a plastic set of tiles from Costo, branded as Motofloor, and my understanding is that its the same system as racedeck.com rebranded..

A box of 42 sft or 42 tiles, originally sells for $119 and on sale for $85. I need 5 boxes to complete my project..

Anyway, it was pretty easy to put down, each piece locks down securely at four locations between each tile.. Just the pressure of walking on the edges, locks the different tiles together...

Total time for the one bay aprrox 1.5 hrs.. Much easier than I expected..

I will report back in sometime with how does it hold up with time.

    Nicely done!

Will be interesting to see how the white tiles hold up.

You could probably get away with just the one side of the garage as it highlights the F-car. The only thing it seems to need are the angle pieces on the side to finish it off a bit. Yea, let us know how the white holds up?

    from the website:

Day to day cleaning is performed by sweeping and mopping with water
and a degreaser. Solvent-based solutions can be used to clean
stubborn areas without harming the flooring.

not sure if its only regional or national.. but for sure it was discounted from 119 to 85 per box in the Central Florida Area.. And yes, only 42 tiles per box. 21 white and 21 black. Which covers a 5 x 8 area or 42 sqft..:)

I've got tan colored plastic tiles (from RaceDeck) on my garage floor. PITA to clean. I previously had epoxy floors in my former condo (where I had a 3 car tandem garage) and it was beautiful and easy to clean, but slippery. I figured I'd save some money and hassles in my current home by using the plastic tile. Unfortunately they get dirty and greasy and don't clean easiliy. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with the epoxy. At least the plastic tiles are sturdy and I can put floorjacks directly on them (but they'll dent.) I still use round pieces of plywood under my jackstands to prevent floor tile damage...

Wow, those tiles look fantastic! I'd love to do that, just worried about the jack issues (cracking and denting). Ah ha! I need to do a black and white epoxy stencil on the floor :D :D :D

Looks great. Hopefully you can jack your car up on it, spill and not have leaks between tiny cracks only to find them years later, not have to 'daily clean' it.

Looks good. I don't know much about the plastic flooring but is there any kind of protectant that can be put on the white tiles to keep them that white? Maybe something that works on vinyl will work on the floor too. Like a 303 Aerospace protectant or something. Just an idea, like I said I don't know anything about those types of flooring.

I put down a tan Racedeck floor (because my walls are tan) and solid black underneath where the cars are actually parked. I find the black is harder to keep looking good than the tan, and kinda wish I had done all tan. Maybe I'll take a shot at cleaning it all really well and then hitting it with some 303 Protectant (I have a gallon of that somewhere) to see if that improves the appearance and maintenance. It sure looks good when it's first put down!!

I'm using the rolled vinyl flooring. It looks good (not as nice as the tiles), very easy to clean up, and stays nice and flat. The only issue is that I have noticed some minor damage from the tire tread, possibly due to the heat and then extended (a week at a time) parking. If/when I move, I may look into the epoxy.

Looks great, was thinking of doing that in my garage, but was wondering if the legs of the jack stands would cut into the flooring?? Could always put some plywood or something under the stands to prevent that. Guess I have no excuse not to do it.

I did a similar finish but bought the tiles online at www.floorjunkies.com for $1.79 per foot. Our garage cost a total of around $2800 to do, including the edge pieces. It took longer to figure out the layout than it did to install the flooring. We had to a little floor level remediation first (the blue and gray stuff). Then putting the tiles down with the transition strip was relatively easy. We did about 1600 s.f. of tiles in about 7-8 hours. One day with one of my kids helping me. I dry wide floor mop is best to keep it clean, with the occasional wash down to get rid of the toughre dirt.
I like it and it is really easy to keep clean in a tropical environment (no melted snow).
