New GDC ride

I went to Arena today to pick up my car and the new GDC murcie was there.... Beautiful. Didn't snap any pics of it, but I'm sure we'll see it soon.

And DAMN does she need a set of roadster wheels. Didn't realize how dated the stock wheels look!

 

That's great. Glad to see GDC doing it big. Murci is def a hot car to take for a spin!

Driving impressions (drove it from Atlanta -> NYC after picking it up from the dealership).

FAST. Amazing torque, amazing power. Even more planted and more stable than the Gallardo, but heavier -- the Gallardo really is the "junior Lambo". Extremely uncomfortable after 3+ hours (and this is coming from the guy who had no problems sitting in a Ford GT for 8 days straight). Road presence -- like no other. I thought I was used to the attention/crazy other drivers/racing/etc. after driving all these other cars over the past 2 years, but the Murcie makes an impression like none other.

The single funniest moment on the trip back was when we passed a state trooper driving the other direction on some highway down south. He had a line of cars behind him, as cops on the highway normally do. We had a line of cars behind us, all hanging back and gawking. He looked over at us. We looked over at him, and both kept driving our ways. I wish I had a camera crew to record it.

Noah, congrats to you guys. She's a beauty. Saw her in the flesh at Arena today, being excellently taken care of, of course. Look forward to seeing her in action one of these days.

what is the fleet up to now...10-12 cars? i remember when it used to be a 360, bentley cgt, gallardo, turbo cab

 

We're at 14 now, but we'll be trimming a little bit -- the Murcie is replacing one of the Gallardos, the 360 coupe has reached its golden years, and some other tweaks...
