I think it has too much going on, i prefer the other 2 GT3's btw, they aren't my pics, they are from a user from *************, i'm just passing them on to you guys
After showing those to my dad yesterday, he decided to change his order from 997tt to 997 GT3. I couldn't be happier . The 997tt looks terrible, especially compared to the 3. The GT3 will have 8400 rpm redline, 415hp, 0-100 .2s slower than 996 GT2. Porsche's (conservative) 0-60 est. is 4.3. Porsche said the 997 S was 4.6... magazines have gotten them under 4. That means the 3 will be fast. It's like the stradale of porsches, and a car that finally has the passion porsche has gotten away from.
MUCH better than the Turbo in one thing... weight! I love it! Plus I can bet the sound will be infinitely better. The alcantara interior is to die for anyways. Still, the Turbo has so much power it makes the decision really tough!
I like it a lot. Way better looking than the 997TT. The rear bumper could use a little work though. To many vents. But besides that its great looking.
Does anybody have the link to a magazine review that got a 0-60 time of under 4 seconds with the 997 S, because I somehow find this hard to belive.
I do not like the 'doubled' front spoiler. Take one out I think it would look pretty good, at least as far as porsches go.
I'm not sure... just check around. I also remember our salesman at the dealer telling us the same thing.
Rice consists of "mods" that make the car look faster, but don't do anything of the sort. The GT3 on the other hand is fully functional, from the hood intake to the rather large spoiler.
The fastest time I saw for a 997S was 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, with no power package "X51" and its not available from Porsche anymore by the way, but I bet once the GT3 is out of production then they might offer it again.
