    Hey people!

    Looking forward to become a part of this community.

    Favourite red heads: 355, F40 and F50
    Favourite car: Pagani Zonda F Clubsport

    I've been a member at fast-autos.net for many years, I'm a moderator at germancarzone.com and help run gothamdreamboards.com so maybe some of you recognize me.

    And the problem? Well, I joined and wanted to PM a mate that hangs out here too but couldn't. My e-mail account was disabled due to that I hadn't logged in for too long so I couldn't recieve the verification link. I tried to change my E-mail and hopefully recieve a link there but I recieved an activation code, tried it and still couldn't PM him. So I made another account on a working mail account, verified and still couldn't PM him. Did anyone of you have the same problem when you first joined?

    I posted the problem here because I didn't see a Forum Discussion section or something like that.

    You can't PM someone who's not already a member of the board. You would have to e-mail them directly to join. Once they do, you can PM.

    This brings up a point that I have wanted to ask: recently I have seen various members that are not subscribed that have avatars? What gives?

    Assuming you're not talking about consultants or sponsors, the answer is that they had avatars before Rob restricted them to subscribed users. As long as the member doesn't try to change the avatar it will stay in place. Of course, Rob could always purge the unsubscribed avatars, but he hasn't yet.
