new here and need help

    I have been helping to restore a coupe with a v12 dual dist assys.How do you set up the dist in these things.I found the a/f12 and the 1/6.how do you set up the points and marks.They are nice cars but finicky.

    You have to run them up to RPM in a calibration machine to confirm the curves.......

    Then you stick them into the motor.....

    Can you tell us more about what you are asking, there of lots of folks here, more technical than I......

    The motor was rebuilt and had no dist in it.I have a manual and it how to set it to 1/6 (pm)then set the dist in with the rotor pointing to #1 on the cap then turn motor to 7/12 (pm).Then it goes into explanation about the points setup but it`s a little unclear on the prosses of setting them up.The car will start but runs badly and won`t idle.You have to peddal the gas to stay running and it pops thru the carbs.We don`t have a machine to set the dist.They have duel points in them
