Hey guys, Just signed up for the forums and wanted to introduce myself. I've been in love with the 355 for years now and am shooting to own one within the next 2-3 years. It's by far my favorite Ferrari and I think the only one I would ever want to own. I think the true spirit of Ferrari lies in the 355, which is why i love it so much. (no offense to anyone that thinks differently! ) I've been checking out the forum and find it funny but awesome that there are so many DIY'ers on here. Never would have thought that this would be, but then again the car world has changed so much with the internet and these car forums. I've been a serious DIY'er on my Volkswagen for years now and can appreciate a great place such as FC. Pleasure to meet you guys and I hope you don't mind having a non-348 or 355 owner on here! I will be in the near future though, that's for sure Cheers from Germany, Jonathan
Welcome!!!!! If you think THIS forum is funny.....pay the $15 to subscribe and the Silver Forum will have you tickled pink!!! Rants, raves, likes, dislikes, more rants, funny pictures, and more rants!!! We Love Silver!!!! But welcome!!!! And, nice choice for your first Ferrari! Tell us you're gonna get a black one and you may have found a new BFF.....Goth...?
Welcome Jonathan. The 355 is a very elegant machine, that is a good choice. Make sure the one you want has a good service history, documented. Good luck, and hope you get it soon.
Haha perhaps I'll go Silver once I am a Ferrari owner, sounds like a good time A Black one would be nice, the whole black theme would be great. I saw those "goth" center caps which look amazing. But I am a sucker for the Ferrari Red so I must go with that, please forgive me Thank you! Could I ask why you sold it after 5 years? any specific reason? Thank you Ace! The service history is very important as I've been reading about in the threads. Am I wrong to say that I should make 100% sure that the headers have been replaced and the valve seals have been done before buying? or if not to factor that into the price? Anything else to look out for that I missed? Thanks for the warm welcome guys
Now I know that the headers crack from over time, just based on the material, but what is the cause for the valve seals? what would cause such a ferrari to have bad valve seals after such a short period of time?
Welcome! Don't worry, I'm a non Ferrari owner as well Won't be for too long though! You'll love it. Endless amounts of info. Good luck on your search for the perfect 355. J.
Don't mind Ole' Pappy... He's kinda like the younger brother who-should-never-leave-the-house-without-his-helmet-on. We look out for him on here...roflmao No, seriously, the kid has like 60,000 posts...there is no way any normal human being could accomplish that!!! Have ya ever seen "Rain Man?" Pap is the brotherhood's "Rain Man."
Exxxxxxxxactly! Maybe he uses FChat as a place to post how he feeling on a minute-by-minute basis? If he has one of those helmets with a full face-guard, then he may not be able to speak his mind to those around him (much to the benefit of those who take care of him down under?)
Hey man, welcome to FChat and the boys in the 348/355 forum. Fill out your profile so we can learn a little more about you.
OMG I love this place!!! Oh, Pappy!!! Please don't forget your helmet today. (You really are my favorite!)
