    Seriously though, I love it. Absolutely love it. Congratulations on a beautiful home! I especially like the details in the pantry area of the kitchen, the wood paneling in the study, and the stone wall in the game room. As someone who is looking at building in the next 2-3 years and thinking about all the countless decisions to be made, it seems both overwhelming and exciting at the same time!

    That is not by chance a Garrell Associates design, is it? It looks similar to some of their work. The house we are leaning towards building is one of theirs.

    I am torn :-/

    Some parts look truly stylish and excellent, and then other parts look unbelievably "messy".

    Not as in dirty or anything, just too overwhelming, like way too many details jumping into your face all at once.

    Just out of curiosity, would you mind sharing how much something like this would cost per square foot? I imagine around $300/sqft? or am I totally off.

    Did you guys hire a decorator or is the interior all your creativity?

    No, I have not heard of them. Good luck, it will be fun!


    A client of mine built the house to be part of a local home show so the cost per sqft was lower than $300. Yes we did have a decororator, no way we could have done it on our own!!!

    Thanks to all the nice comments! It was a ton of work, but well worth it!!
