New Issue: Cameras not working - Black Screen

    So this is a new one (to me). Any idea what would cause, and potential remedy, for all of the cameras (front, side and rear) showing just a black screen? Best I can figure is that I connected Apple too early during initial cold start. I tried resetting infotainment screen, and multiple restarts without luck.

    The problem ended up resolving itself after I had lunch and started the car again about an hour later. Oddity.

    If anyone has experienced this before any insight is appreciated.

    Following up to this in hopes it helps others especially considering those of us with Apple CarPlay are relatively few.

    The black screen camera issue is definitely related to Apple CarPlay. It’s happened a few times. It seems there is a sweet spot for when you connect your iPhone and go into reverse where all cameras will go black. I’ve yet to pinpoint the exact timing but will update when I do.

    Glad you have hit upon some solution. So, is your advice to start Cali, back out of you spot, get rolling, and then connect the Apple Play?

    It is so far. I haven’t had a problem with the cameras when connecting phone after moving forward. Although I’ve yet to pinpoint the exact time when connecting the phone prior or during reverse that creates issues. I’m testing though!

    +1 17 Cali T HS CarPlay
    Have had the same issue today;
    CarPlay connected, Reverse, Black screen cameras front and side black screen.
    Multiple restart without success.
    I will keep you informed as soon I will get rolling again.

    Hey Lucas - have you ran into this issue frequently?

    FWIW - I've got a new one as of yesterday "engine control system failure return to dealer". Crossing fingers...

    Sounds like an error message I got. Turned out it was the battery needing to be replaced. Hoping yours is something simple like that...T

    First time black screen camera on my 17 Cali T HS
    I haven't use my car since my previous message.
    I will keep you updated as soon I will use it again.
    No engine control system failure on my previous 13 Cali 30 & 17 Cali T HS
    DCT sensors issues; replaced on my previous 13 Cali 30.

    I’m having the same issue intermittently my back up camera just shows a black screen it seems to repair itself from time to time. I also have CarPlay. Any ideas or past experience would be helpful.

    Cali T 17 with CarPlay, it was only a SW issue, sporadic black screen, mainly if you connect CarPlay before to start and drive the car for a very short distance.
    My Ferrari dealer has checked wth Ferrari technical support my SW version was not the last one, and it has to be upgraded with the lastest sw version to solve this issue.
    Never happen again, problem has been definitively solved since 4 years.
