As mentioned in the XK thread, concept drawings are appearing in the UK for the S-Type replacement which is said to draw heavily on the new XK - in fact it seems as though Jag are going down a 'XK four door' route witrh this car. I hate it, the old look is much more appealing to the eye for me. And that wasnt a beauty queen either. What does it for me is the grill, it looks almost KIA/Daewoo looking. I like the rear half of the car thou, and the sides. but that nose needs to go.

Glad to know it isn't only me who thinks that front end is hideous Hyundai design! If only they'd do something more like this: the RD6 concept from 2003. As someone who actually saw this car at a motorshow, I can say it's front and side design are stunning, the rear however good do with a bit more graceful swoopyness...

Maybe enlarge the grill, make it longer. But it is just an artist impression so the jury is still out.

It looks really cheap. Kia/Hyundai lights and really large plastic bumpers. It shouldn't look like the entire car is made of plastic.

I think that is probably the worst artist impression imaginable. It seems like they took the few comments they got and then attached the respective cars together.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it looked a lot like the RD6.

The headlights are terrible. They look like they came straight off a Ford or GM minivan.

That's the same problem I have with the XK.

Otherwise, it looks okay, but it's certainly a drastic departure from the existing model.

I think it looks great, I hope they do build it! I did not read the story so I do not know if they are planning to build, But I think it is the right car!!!

Holy crap that looks good. I love it! I hope they build it. Its one of those designs like the recent change for the Subaru Imprezza. Once you see it in person you will either love it or hate it.

Not on the inside they weren't. I never liked that dash, and the rear end to me always looked poorly resolved.

I understand the logic, they're doing like Aston Martin and their "Rapid" concept, but this one's gonna take some time to grow on me. Maybe when I see one in person I will understand it better. I kinda like the front, but just wonder if the back makes sense when the concept is drawn out for 4 doors. It might, but I'd just need to see it first hand.

Generally the idea makes sense, but I would have preferred the style was kept to the XK only, and not overused. But I guess I can expect the whole product line to be influenced by the XK now. Worse things could happen.
