Bacon, cheese, and sauce all nestled between... . . . two fried chicken filets! Right now only test marketed in Omaha NE and Providence RI. Coming soon to a KFC near you? http://www.ajc.com/business/new-kfc-double-down-123988.html I'd try one. How 'bout you?
We've had the two local KFCs both go under recently to be replaced by The Habit and some Gyro joint. both are doing good biz where the KFCs were empty. This is an upper middle class area and I think they find KFC too greasy spoon even though they have tried to bring some *healthier* products to the menu I think this new idea wouldnt work here but it will in poorer areas.
You mean the name change down to KFC wasn't enough?? BTW, if you want a good gyro go to Panos at Woodley and Victory!
I can't think of a more deliciously white trash sandwich then this one. There are a couple of places in S.E. Mass selling them too that I can visit.
The KFC where I live closed up years ago. It just sits there vacant, just like Circuit City a block away. There must be one in Baton Rouge still open, my dealer loaner car had about 10 credit card receipts from KFC in it.
The KFC Double Down sounds disgusting but you know what sounds twice as disgusting? The Quadruple Down: http://www.supersizedmeals.com/food/article.php/20090902-KFC_Quadruple_Down Image Unavailable, Please Login
with all the sly comments I assume this is marketed towards african americans?? If so, and I'm being serious not tacky, have they considered using waffles instead of bread? I've never had them, but aren't waffles and fried chicken very popular? I mean it was on Food Network in Atlanta. Actually sounds like a great idea. Have they never tried or thought of this? Surely they have.
I can't swear I would never try it, but I sure haven't been to KFC in years so it's doubtful. If I'm going to make myself sick with fried chicken it'll be from Popeye's.
