    Greetings FerrariChat

Allow me to introduce myself as a future 599 GTB HGTE owner. I'm currently finalizing a deal on the enclosed beauty and I expect to have her in the garage early April.

I'm excited to join this community as you all seem to be active and helpful.

Does anyone know if the new 599 GTO wheels fit the older GTB? I have asked my Ferrari dealer to verify but so far no answer. I absolutely love the GTB but I cant help feeling the rims are a bit out dated and I think adding the GTO wheels would give it a huge lift.

    Thanks in advance

    Ken

Kema- Welcome to FChat. Beautiful HGTE. The only question is on the front wheels, the rears will fit, no sweat. Waiting for someone to try. I am about 95% sure they will fit because Ferrari leaves quite a bit of room in the fender wells. The wheels look like they are set up to have about 2 mm less offset out of the 25.4 mm they are wider than your HGTE wheels. So splitting the 23.4 mm in half inside and out or 11.7 mm, they would only stick out 11.7 mm or 0.46" more than your wheels, the rest (13.7 mm) would be on the inside where it should cause no problems.

Should work. If you do make the swap, please post photos. Will really cut down on any remaining understeer and should look way meaner. Please do not paint them black.

You should be able to sell your HGTE wheels for a good price

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. As expected a helpful community :)

I expect a confirmation from my Ferrari dealer on the GTO wheels tomorrow. He had to send the request to Maranello as they never had this question before.

If they confirm I will order and post some pictures.

Car looks beautiful, congratulations on your purchase.

Might I suggest keeping the stock HGTE wheels, they are far from outdated and if you want a GTO look that will also make the car look more modern try painting them a darker shade of silver or even black.

Congratulations. Welcome and enjoy your HGTE. It's a magnificent car. I love mine despite the fact that I have its "beast sister" GTO keeping it company in the same stable.

If you are not fond of the wheels may I suggest putting the challenge wheels on and have them painted dark grey. That's what I did on mine.

    Many happy miles with it.

    Cheers,

    M

Just a quick update. Ferrari confirmed that the GTO wheels fit the GTB.

I will be ordering the grey set and will post final pics when we take delivery.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

Nice, the lighter and larger wheels will definitely give you a nice increase in mechanical grip.
