Hello everyone! I am most pleased to say that I am the new proud owner of a 91 348TS. I do not take delivery until sometime around Christmas. I have sat back for 5 months now and read all of your stories, adventures, technical advise, ect., ect., for sometime now. She is a black on black with 11,000 miles not a scratch on her and the 30k service with alll updates. Even though I have never spoken with any of you, I would like to thank you all for the education and humor I received and am hopefull that it has helped with my purchase. My name is Mike Mansfield, 35, live in Vancouver, Wa. I look forward to the possibility to maybe someday going for a drive with all you guys. I don't know how I am going to sleep for the week I wait for delivery??????? Look forward to hearing and someday meeting the local crew! Thanks again everyone!
Congrats on the purchase, Mike! The next thing you need to do is to join the local FCA chapter. www.ferrariclub.com
Thanks guys. Just joined the local Ferrari chapter. Look forward to meeting everyone ands going on some drives. I have alot to learn and will defintely appreciated any help or advise. I just had to swing by Ron Tonkin on the way home today just to get a walk around on the 1990 348Tb Greg has out there right now. Sat in it and fired it up!! Wow, amazing sound. Can't wait!!! Sure tough getting in though. That will take some getting used too!
Trying to figure out how to send a Pic..Might need the girl friend to help. Chat room is a new deal for me
Congrats. When are you picking it up (I may be swinging by Tonkin on Friday, and would love to talk Greg into letting me take a peak at it)?
Sorry for the misunderstanding. My 348 I will not take delivery on for a week or so and comes from, formally Los Gatos Ferrari now Silicon Valley Auto. I have been in talks with Greg for 8 months or so and just couldn't resist swinging by to gaze at what I have coming. He has a beautiful 90 348 TB Red with Red and Black interior. I just want to talk with him about the little things I should know, do a walk around and just day dream...One week and counting!!!
Nope--don't belong (I go to Club Sport in Tigard/Tualitan--much closer to my home). And I don't think I've driven the 360 to the Mac for any social events.
I know of a black/black 348 Spider with polished wheels around Seattle that would look good with yours. Congratulations. I bought my 308 at X-mas a couple of years ago. Drove it home on the 27th. It made for a nice holiday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That spider looks nice. Wanted traditional red but this car was in to good of condition to pass on. This whole waiting for the car is killing me. Life long fantasy almost realize! This coming summer got to hook up with the Seattle crew? I, unlike so many ,actually plan to drive mine.
Congrats Mike and Welcome! BTW...I used to think that mine might melt in the rain, but recently I've decided that I don't care and drive it whenever I get a chance...rain or shine. Cleaning it afterwards sucks, but not as much as seeing it sit in the garage unused day after day... Hope to meet you one of these days. John
Hey, it is supposed to be clear tomorrow, so my Red Car will go out for a stretch!!! I couldn't beat to wait until Summer.
We don't really need the sun to enjoy our cars. But here are a few pictures to remind us of some fun we've had this year when the sun was out. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mike, as all have said: congrats on the new car. I've gotta agree with everyone here, when I got mine I was scared to drive it in the rain thinking that it would melt or... god forbid get the wheelwells dirty. Thankfully Handa told me not to be so dumb; we live in Seattle. Get out and drive the snot out of it rain or shine!!!!! Etip
Guys are coimg out in droves. When I said a summer drive to Seattle, it didn't mean I wasn't going to drive it until the sun came out. Just that a 2.5 hour rain drive wasn't gonna happen. This winter and spring, any day that is not raining I will be getting seat time. Nice to see all of you chiming in. I am so damn excited I couldn't sleep again! Up at 3:00am again this morning after another "Sleepless night". "Biting my nails and twideling my thumbs"
great pics. Looks like some good roads. Can't wait to join the crew. I will be most pleased to take my position at the back of the line!
In the 8 month search for my car I was amazed when talking with some owners when they said they drive it once a month or so. These are guys living in California??? True they are expensive vehicles but why let one to sit in your garage???? I bought it to drive and ready to pay to keep it serviced and ready to growl. Initially it will not see rain. I am sure as the novelty slowly wears that someday it might see a splash or two. Look forward to meeting you
