I know this is a ferrari site and I still have my F430. I syopped by the local F car dealer looking to change my coupe for a spider and maybe a six speed. The dealer found a car but it was at an outside shop for clean it up and a little paint touch up. So on the way to the shop to see the car, I stopped by the Lambo dealer. I also currently own a 2002 gallardo. I drove the new Galardo 560. I must confess I was blown away. The power and the sound was amazing. It still does not handle as crisp or as taut as the Ferrari but what does other than arguably a Lotus Elise.

Well I bought the car It has 560 HP or 80 hp over my current Lambo. Ferrari still has that unique sound but the lambo sounds great also.

I bought an e-gear. I have always liked manuals but this new e-gear impressed me. It did all sort of fancy things that sounded like I was doing and was good at it. Of course I am not that good at driving. My F430 is F1 and my 360 before it was a 6 speed. These padle shifters have come along way.

What impressed me was you get better gas milage with E-gear, the throttle was popped up automatically when down shifting and the when up shifting under high throttle was quick and smooth. if you buy a manual there is a gas guzzling tax. The E-gear does not have this.

Yes YOU are correct and Ii was wrong. I checked the title and it is a 2004. I have only had my current Lambo for 1 1/2 years and it has been perfect. I expected it to be finnicky. It has not.

Ultimate motors in Orlando only had one convertible and it was white. I wanted yello. They are trying to find one for me. This is Sunday night as I write this so I do not know the status of their search. When I get the car I will post a picture.

I want a fairly atripped down model since they get expensive fast and I do not use much of the stuff anyway.

Thanks for the kind words and I must sdmit I feel like a kid I am so excited.

You are correct concerning the 500 hp. The car is only 480 hp at the wheels. The Lambo I bought was designed after 2005 so the manufanufactures hp rating is at the rear wheels. So to compare the 2004 and the 2010 cars it is 480 versus 560 at the wheels. But you are right that it is rated 500 hp my Lamboginni as per the A+SAE method used at that time. I should have been more specific

Agreed...Sounds like all this talk about buying a new car has got you a little disoriented...listing this post here in the 458 section...saying that your Gallardo is an 02 but it is an 04... to your talk about manufactures now listing their HP at the rear wheel in lieu of the fly wheel, hmmmm...OK. The general rule is to puff puff pass on left handside. :) ;)

2004 Gallardo has barely 400-420hp (depending on the Dyno) at the wheels.
480 is still a bit higher what the Lp560 has.
Your numbers seem to be off....

Please bear in mind that as I write this I do not have the Lambo yet and only a drive at the dealer.

The F430 has an awesome sound and is a pleasure to drive. The steering is precise and taut. The F430 has 430 hp versus the 560 on the lambo. This Lambo is a little faster than my F430 but lets wait untill the 458 shows up. I suspect the 458 will be faster still.

My 2004 Lambo has a nice sound but nothing like the F430. Lambo has corrected this issue with the 2010 Galardo. It has awesome sound great under power.

The egear on my Lambo is updated over my F430. it is quicker and bumps the throttle while downshifting. The lambo is only a 6 spped. The new 458 is 7 speed I am told.

If I could have only one car to play with I would pick the ferrari. Both are great cars but the node from me goes to F cars.

The car I ended up with is a White covertible. I wanted yello.

Yes I am :) The F430 means engine size the hp is 483. The 360 Modena had 400 hp with that engine size. The Lambo at least on the convertible is 560.

I have read your post and do not understand your point.

I believe and agree with you the older 2004 galardo could be bearly 400-420 at the wheels. The second part where you post it still has more hp than the 560 dpes not make sense.

But either way I know from driving them and owning them both that the 560 is much faster.

They are close but not faster than my ZR1.

I will post pictures. I have alot of cars so it sould be an interesting picture.

I was on the board for the Ferrari owner club / Florida region. If you like you can google that site and click the Photo Album tab. If you look down you can click on "

Ferraris at the Farm" It is an article I wrote for the Pilota magazine on or about 3/11/2007.

All of the cars on my driveway are not mine . We had a lunch for the members at my home.
The cars in the garage are my cars, they are the F car. Lotus and I think the Ford GT. I did not have all of the cars I have today but at least it will show some of them.

I feel like a kid. I just bought a new lambo 560-4 convertible. I was at the ferrari dealer to repelace my paddle shifter for a six speed convertible.

I stopped at the Lambo dealer in Orlando. I have an older 2004 Garlardo and like it alot. The new 450-4 just blew me away. I bought it the next day. It cjanged my mind on paddle shifters. The Lambo shifter does alot of fancy things that makes me look good while I am not doing a thing.

    A great car.

In your previous post you admitted the 2004 G had 500hp and then you stated that it had 480hp at the wheels ,quote:"
My point was that the your number was still off, since even Lp560 has "only" about 460-470hp at the wheels.
2010 Lp560 has 560hp AT THE CRANK not at the wheels.

I have said this many times before, but it takes a good shop about 2 hours to turn (like mine) into RWD, and then it turns into a real car, sorry but AWD is for SUV's
