In this month's Forza quoted from Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo "There are over 20,000 Ferraris on U.S. roads...We'll soon be opening a large new showroom on Park Avenue in the heart of Manhattan...." OK, if we can figure out when, we have yet another ferrari weekend run scheduled!
I can not believe this. First one about 15 minutes from my house in Edison NJ and now one right in the heart of Manhattan. I am in heaven. Now I need to get one hehe!
HAHA! A few years and I will be there. Hopefully MOST of our crew will still be together although Emil and Hubert look like they will be in CA. They better visit often!!!
We'll have to work with Sam to see if we can revoke their travel visas. Heck, with friends like use, purgatory(NY,NJ,Conn) isn't so bad.
Yeah, but when we're having runs in, say, January to Zuma Beach to judge a bikini contest... we'll remember purgatory fondly.
Ok group. We have runs on father's day, birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving.... let's dedicate one long weekend run to Bikini land! Vik, want to handle the sign-up? Let's see NYC to Zuma.......... 2865.6 miles Approximate Travel Time: 44 hours 5 mins (not at Ferrari speeds) ~ 238 gallons of gas (apprx cost $477) divided by 15 gallon tanks so about 15 fill-ups along the way........ Yeah, we can do this!
BTW: Here's THE piece of furniture if you decide to move. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6212&item=2480708168&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
I was thinking abt doing a roadtrip cross country, but after that many miles, you need a major service when you get back... so add $6000+ to that gas bill.
Well we could trim expenses by staying at Hubert's or Emil's new place. Emil, mind if we bring a couple of bikini runner's-up over after the judging?
We could do a small one say like Boston, Maine, CT, etc. I would love to do one of those. We could have the ultimate party all night long!
Well, Sam was looking at a new Mondial. Perhaps we can get him to donate his old one to a SawZAll Then we have TWO halves to play with! One for the living room, one for the Den. And, we can pull the engine (don't want to cut that in half) and use it for a coffee table.
