The name does suck....it sounds like a cheap perfume..... But damn is that a hot looking car. I love it.
The September 2008 Evo magazine notes that the Esprit will be out 'early 2011' and will platform-share with the Evora. Whatever that means in this case. Also, elsewhere in the same magazine they say the Esprit might be getting the (possible) turbo V8 from the next M5. Sounds quite promising so far..
Pricerange? It probably won't be the fastest car out there but I'm sure it's one of the most fun cars - in true Lotus spirit
My guess it will be a Evora without the 2+2 and with less weight, higher HP, and more styling cues taken from the Esprit.
It's C02 emissions are fairly low for a high performance car 225g/km, which is the UK keeps it in a lower tax bracket than the Porsche Cayman S (until that gets GDI engines). Shame that's becoming the most important consideration when looking at a car like this.
Very attractive car, I like it but I really hope Lotus made it a lot easier to get in & out of than the Elise 3000# is a very fat Lotus though Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dont like the name but the car looks good, though there are a lot of styling ques from the still born M250 of a few years ago.
