Since Tower Records shut down here in LV - we get all the Euro Car mags on a several week delay at Barnes and Nobles and Borders. Wondering if anyone has the pics car has - it says the magazine goes on sale wednesday - maybe you guys over in England get your subcriptions a day or 2 early.

    Thanks

    David

A supposed MSRP of $90,000+ !?!?!? BMW would be nuts to do that...

I love the M3..always have..have had two of them. But they are not 6 figure cars and I would think the demographic for them cant afford a $90,000 car ( for the most part ).

I was figuring $ 70k out the door...its not like they dont do decent volume on them.

the m5's base is around $85k. m3 will be below. usually around $10-15k over the top of the line 3 series car.

I think the reference was in regards to 48kGBP, which is indeed around 90kUSD. But that doesn't mean BMW won't price the cars differently for the two markets. I think the M3 will need to top out in the 60's to sell effectively here in the USA.

I've always been surprised at the price's M3's command. Anything else in the performance and price range of the M3 seems to lack the practicality(Cayman, Z06, GT500) sans Rs4- but here in the states Audi doesn't get nearly the respect of the BMW- shame

I think the advent of the new supra or Nissan GTR will present some formidable competition to the M3
