I purchased new Mats from Westwind European and received them Today. Can't say I am completely satisfied. Besides the color being off, the horse isn't really a great repo of the true F-horse and it looks like they cut corners for the fit. They DO fit, but not like the old ones.
Don't know if the old ones are correct either. Can anyone provide any commentary on how the originals fit? Also, did they have the horse logo or Ferrari lettering? The quality of the Mats seem very good, but would love something more original looking. Am I crazy?

Terrible fit and the cavallinos look like someone drew them from memory, not at all like the originals.

I would not be pleased with them.

Not only are they not accurate, they seem to be a bit much for my taste.

    Jim,

Those are for a 3.2, my shape is the same.

The mats are different from 8, QV, 3.2 and T

Im sure some 3.2 dudes would take them off your hands if the "t" comes off

Any advice on who to order good mats from? Westwind was recommended in a previous post and that's why I went with them.

Thank for the Replies all. I've been in touch with Westward and they are going to work with me to make me satisfied. Can you all clarify that the new ones in the pict? Do the 3.2 mats look like the new ones? (Bottom in pict) and the old (top) are in fact the true "t" template? There seems to be some conflicting info. Also does anyone know what the originals looked like? Ferrari logo? Cavallinos?

Get the correct shape cut, keep the mondialT where it is font size and location, and lose the horse entirely.... Why does it need a giant horse? and why would you put a light color like that on a floor mat?

Ok remember it was only .02 cents worth, LOL

Hi James. I received mine today and they are cut the same. They are not the proper mats for the t. My original mats were like yours. I am going to speak with Westwind as well. Perhaps they can remake both of our mat sets to the correct size and shape.
I got the small red horsey on mine and it looks quite good. I'll send a pic.

Thanks Bruno. I would love to see the horse you got. Ricky has been great. He sent picts of the logo and the shield. They look great. I am going to send him my mats for a the t template. I think once he has the template from mine he'll have it for yours and others.
Again, they have been responsive about making this right for me and the quality of the mats seems great. PM me your contact info and we'll connect with him on the new template.

Hands down the best mats I've seen are available from Nick, ferrari floor mats

They sell A LOT of them. Nick is crazy picky when it comes to interiors and carpets, but that's what's needed to get the best. Worth a look if one wants a floor mat set that is top notch.

Thanks Sipes. Mine too. They ride up. Not sure how they originally were meant to stay in place. Can you send picts? Love to see what they look like. Are they original?

Everything I've read and remember seeing in person leads me to believe that Ferrari did not include floor mats on their cars in the 1980's

    I could be wrong.

There were no oem overmats for Mondial. Lakeside.com supplies a carpet kit and has the correct rubber pads on the oem carpets, which snap fit to the floor. All horsey mats are aftermarket. The mats do tend to ride up, and can interfere with the throttle mechanism, so a good tight correct fit is important, or a grippy foam backer. In more recent years Ferrari has gone extreme about its trademarks so there are few suppliers who advertise these mats.

    Ho Ho Ho,

The mat in my sleigh would tend to ride up and attempt to get over the edge of the accelerator pedal box.

Hank suggested I cut a piece of thin stiff material (like plastic or thin aluminum) in an "L" shape. Open up the stitching around the carpet in the pedal box area. Separate the carpet from the backing, and glue (3M Adhesive or such) the L angle in between them. Be sure to leave room for the restitching of the binding to the mat. Your local shoe repair shop can do that part for you.

    Now I ride, but my mat doesn't !! :):)

    Cheers, Santa
